Claims (5)
- ガス流を加湿する装置であり、霧状の液体を供給し、これを噴霧室内でガス流と混合し、前記混合した霧状液体とガスをガス流路に通過させながら前記ガスを加湿する手段を備える加湿装置であって、前記ガス流路が略U字状の通路(3、4、8)を備え、前記略U字状の通路が、霧状の液体及びガス流が下方部に向かって通過する第1の略垂直部(3)を有し、前記下方部から前記ガス流が出口(9)に向かって略垂直方向上方に通過する、加湿装置において、
前記通路の前記下方部は、前記ガス流から分離された過剰な水が水分離室(7)へ通過することができる開口部(6)を組み込み、前記開口部(6)が、前記水分離室内の水の高さが所定の高さを越えた場合に浮き手段(10)により閉鎖することができるか、あるいは、水の前記水分離室(7)への流入を許容するが前記水分離室(7)からの水流が前記ガス流路(3、4、8)に戻ることを阻止する流れ制御弁(13)を備え、複数の開口部(6)が、前記ガス流路の最下部(4)から前記水分離室(7)に通じており、前記水分離室(7)は、車両に搭載された状態で水平である四角形又は矩形の平面上壁部(18)を有し、4つの開口部(6)が、前記上壁部(18)の4つのコーナーに隣接して配置され、前記上壁部が、前記ガス流路の前記最下部(4)の下方壁部を規定することを特徴とするガス流の加湿装置。 - 弁手段(12)が、前記水分離室(7)から排出される前記液体の流れを制御するように設けられる請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記開口部(6)が、前記ガス流路の前記最下部(4)に位置し、前記ガス流路の前記最下部(4)の断面及び前記水分離室(7)の断面に比べて比較的小さい請求項1または2に記載の装置。
- 前記4つの開口部の各々が、前記水分離室(7)から前記ガス流路への方向の水の流れを制限するための阻流板を組み込んだ流れ制御弁(13)を備える請求項1に記載の装置。
- 複数の分離したガス流路からの開口部が、共通の水分離室(7)に通じている請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
