Description
Claims (5)
- 排気ガスを大気に放出する前に、ディーゼル粒子フィルタである排気ガス処理装置を有する車両の内燃エンジンの排気ガス温度を低下させる装置であって、
空気源と、
前記空気源が過給機のターボ圧縮機であり、
前記空気源をエンジン吸気管に接続すると共に排気ガス処理装置の下流にある排気ガス管に接続する導管と、
前記空気源からの圧縮空気の流れを制御する前記導管に設けた弁と、
前記空気源からの空気を前記排気ガス管に案内するために前記弁を選択的に開く制御装置と、
前記導管の接続部の上流にある前記排気ガス処理装置に配置された、排気温度を測定するとともに、前記弁の開閉を制御するために前記制御装置に温度信号を供給する少なくとも1つの温度センサとを有し、前記ディーゼル粒子フィルタを浄化するに必要な高温の排気ガスを要する場合に、前記制御装置は温度センサにより供給された温度信号に基づき前記弁を開放する、装置。 - 車両速度を示す信号を前記制御装置に供給する手段をさらに含んでおり、前記車両速度が基準値を下回る場合に前記制御装置によって前記弁を選択的に開く、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記制御装置に接続されるとともに、前記弁を開くよう前記制御装置に指示する手動操作スイッチをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- エンジン吸気管に圧縮空気を供給する過給機を有するとともに、収集した粒子状物質を燃焼させるために再生を要するディーゼル粒子フィルタである排気後処理装置を有する内燃エンジン用の排気冷却装置であって、
前記過給機の圧縮機の出口と前記エンジンの空気入口を接続する一次導管と、
前記過給機の前記圧縮機の前記出口と前記排気後処理装置の下流にある排気管とを接続する二次導管と、
前記二次導管内の流れを制御するための前記二次導管内の弁と、
排気ガスを冷却するために前記圧縮機からの空気を前記排気管に供給するよう、前記弁を選択的に開く制御装置と、
前記二次導管の接続部の上流にある前記排気後処理装置に配置される、排気温度を測定するとともに、前記弁の開閉を制御するよう前記制御装置に温度信号を供給する少なくとも1つの温度センサとを有し、前記ディーゼル粒子フィルタを浄化するに必要な高温の排気ガスを要する場合に、前記制御装置は温度センサにより供給された温度信号に基づき前記弁を開放する、排気冷却装置。 - 車両速度を示す信号を前記制御装置に供給する手段をさらに含んでおり、前記車両速度が基準値を下回る場合に前記制御装置によって前記弁を選択的に開く、請求項4に記載の排気冷却装置。
