Description
Claims (15)
- 排気ガスを大気に放出する前に、車両の内燃エンジンの排気ガス温度を低下させる装置であって、
空気源と、
前記空気源と排気ガス管を接続する導管と、
圧縮空気の流れを制御する弁と、
前記空気源からの空気を前記排気管に案内するために前記弁を選択的に開く制御装置とを有する、装置。 - 前記空気源が過給機の圧縮機である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記過給機がターボ圧縮機である、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記空気源が送風機である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記導管の接続部の上流にある前記排気管内に配置された、排気温度を測定するとともに、前記弁の開閉を制御するために前記制御装置に温度信号を供給する少なくとも1つの温度センサをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記内燃エンジンは、排気内の粒子状物質を収集するフィルタエレメントと、粒子状物質を酸化させる再生システムであって、再生システムの状態を監視するために前記制御装置が接続された前記再生システムとを含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記フィルタエレメントの温度を感知するとともに、前記弁の開閉を制御するために前記制御装置にフィルタ温度信号を供給するよう接続された温度センサをさらに含む、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記制御装置に接続されるとともに、前記弁を開くよう前記制御装置に指示する手動操作スイッチをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の装置。
- エンジン吸気管に圧縮空気を供給する過給機を有するとともに、収集した粒子状物質を燃焼させるために再生を要する排気後処理装置を有する内燃エンジン用の排気冷却装置であって、
前記過給機の圧縮機の出口と前記エンジンの空気入口を接続する一次導管と、
前記過給機の前記圧縮機の前記出口と前記後処理装置の下流にある排気管とを接続する二次導管と、
前記二次導管内の流れを制御するための前記導管内の弁と、
排気ガスを冷却するために前記圧縮機からの空気を前記排気管に供給するよう、前記弁を選択的に開く制御装置とを有する、排気冷却装置。 - 前記二次導管の接続部の上流にある前記排気管内に配置される、排気温度を測定するとともに、前記弁の開閉を制御するよう前記制御装置に温度信号を供給する少なくとも1つの温度センサをさらに含む、請求項9に記載の排気冷却装置。
- 粒子フィルタと、前記粒子フィルタに収集された粒子状物質を酸化させる再生システムを有する内燃エンジン内の排気ガスを冷却する方法であって、
前記粒子フィルタの出口の排気ガス流の温度を感知するステップと、
車両速度を感知するステップと、
前記温度が選択された温度閾値を上回り、前記車両速度が選択された速度を下回る場合に、前記排気ガス流に空気流を案内するステップと、
前記温度が選択された温度閾値を下回るか、または前記車両速度が前記選択された速度を上回るまで、前記排気ガス流への前記空気流の案内を持続させるステップとを含む、方法。 - 前記排気ガス流内で測定された温度に応じて、前記空気流の量を制御するステップをさらに含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記空気流は排気タービンによって駆動される圧縮機によって生成され、前記空気流の量は前記エンジン速度を制御することによって制御される、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 空気流の案内は、前記排気管に接続された給気管路内の弁を開くことによるものであり、前記空気流の量は前記弁の開放量を制御することによって制御される、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記空気流は送風機によって生成され、前記空気流の量は前記送風機の速度を増加させることによって制御される、請求項12に記載の方法。
