Description
充電器110は更に、再充電式電池100に印加される充電電流を決定し、決定された充電電流と実質的に等しい電流を電池100に印加し、例えば5〜15分の特定又は所定の時間が経過した後、充電電流を停止させるように構成されたコントローラ120を備えている。所定の電池の電圧又は充電レベルに到達すると、コントローラ120も、充電動作を停止するように構成されてもよい。いくつかの実施形態では、コントローラ120は、バックコンバータ130が12Cの一定の充電率で印加するのを調節する(即ち、1Cは電池を1時間で充電するのに必要とされる電流に対応した充電率であり、12Cは、約1/12時間(即ち5分)で特定の電池を充電するのに必要とされる充電率)。このような充電率12Cは、所定の最大充電電圧に到達するか、5分間が過ぎるまで印加される。最大充電電圧に到達すると、コントローラ120は制御モードを変更し、所定の充電時間(例えば5分)が過ぎるまで定電圧を電池100に印加する。
Claims (9)
- 少なくとも1つの電気化学セルであって、それを貫通する内部ボアを有する前記少なくとも1つの電気化学セルと、
前記少なくとも1つの電気化学セルに電気的に結合し、前記内部ボアの一部分内に配置される電圧コンバータモジュールであって、前記少なくとも1つの電気化学セルによって生成された第1の電圧を第2の異なる電圧に変換するように構成された前記電圧コンバータモジュールと、
前記電圧コンバータモジュールと電気的に結合する端子対と、
充電電流が前記電圧コンバータモジュールをバイパスするように、外部電源から前記少なくとも1つの電気化学セルの電極に印加される前記充電電流を導くために、前記端子対のうちの1つの端子と前記少なくとも1つの電気化学セルの電極との間に結合されたバイパス回路と、
を含み、
前記電圧コンバータモジュールは、前記端子対のうちの1つの端子と前記少なくとも1つの電気化学セルの電極との間に結合されている充電式電池。 - 前記バイパス回路が、前記印加された充電電流の全てを前記電極に導くように構成される、請求項1に記載の充電式電池。
- 前記バイパス回路が、前記端子対のうちの少なくとも1つと接続し、前記電極のうちの少なくとも1つと更に接続するダイオードを備える、請求項1に記載の充電式電池。
- 前記ダイオードが、ツェナーダイオード及びショットキーダイオードのうちの1つである、請求項3に記載の充電式電池。
- 前記電圧コンバータモジュールは、前記充電電流が前記端子対に印加される際に無効となるように構成された集積回路を備える、請求項1に記載の充電式電池。
- 前記集積回路を無効とする信号を発生するように構成された機構を更に含む、請求項5に記載の充電式電池。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電気化学セルが、15分以内で、少なくとも1つの電気化学セルの容量の少なくとも90%の充電レベルまで充電されるように構成される、請求項1に記載の充電式電池。
- 前記少なくとも1つの電気化学セルが、リン酸鉄リチウムセルを備える、請求項1に記載の充電式電池。
- 前記電圧コンバータモジュールが、
電気スイッチング素子、及び
前記電気スイッチング素子に電気的に結合し、電圧ステップダウン変換動作及び電圧ステップアップ変換動作のうちの1つを引き起こすために、前記電気スイッチング素子を制御するように構成されたコントローラ、を含む、請求項1に記載の充電式電池。
