Description
(1)本発明の胃腸カプセルは、揺動手段を囲む中空シェルを有する胃腸カプセル(GIC)であって、
前記胃腸カプセルは、設定遅延時間の後、前記揺動手段を励起する励起機構を有し、
前記揺動手段は、モーター軸に付属したアンバランスな錘、電磁石、バイアススプリング、エレクトロ・アクティブ・ポリマー(EAP)、誘電体エラストマー・アクチュエーター(DEA)、圧電材料からなる群から選択されたアクチュエーター、およびそれらの任意の組み合わせからなるアクチュエーターを備える。
(2)本発明の胃腸カプセルは、前記中空シェルが互いに滑動結合された2つのセグメントからなる。
(3)本発明の胃腸カプセルは、前記2つのセグメントが相互に移動可能であり、前記揺動手段が移動を与える。
(4)本発明の胃腸カプセルは、前記揺動手段にエネルギーを供給する電池をさらに含む。
(5)本発明の胃腸カプセルは、前記励起機構が前記揺動の時間プロファイルを与える。
(6)本発明の胃腸カプセルは、前記揺動手段が前記モーターであり、前記胃腸カプセルがさらに前記モーターに加わる機械的負荷を測定する手段を有する。
(7)本発明の胃腸カプセルは、前記モーターが2つのモードで動作し、その1つはセンシングモードで、他は揺動モードであり、前記揺動モードのモーターの出力は、前記センシングモードのモーターの出力に比べ、非常に高い。
(8)本発明の胃腸カプセルは、少なくとも一つの弾性スパイクが前記中空シェルの表面に付属し、前記少なくとも一つの弾性スパイクが生分解性材料からなる。
(9)本発明の方法は、揺動手段を囲むシェルを有する摂取可能な胃腸カプセル(GIC)を用いて哺乳類の胃腸管の一部の壁を機械的に刺激する方法であって、
a.前記胃腸カプセルを摂取するステップ、
b.設定時間間隔を待つステップ、
c.前記胃腸カプセルを揺動するための揺動手段を励起し、励起手段に加わる機械的負荷のレベルを測定し、
前記揺動が、震える、揺れ動く、急激に揺れる、衝突する、振動する、前記シェルを繰り返し断続的に軸方向に伸縮する動作からなる群から選択された動作、さらに以上の組み合わせ動作からなる方法である。
(10)本発明の方法は、前記時間間隔が数分から2時間の範囲である。
(11)本発明の方法は、前記時間間隔が2時間を超える。
(12)本発明の方法は、前記時間間隔が4時間を超える。
(13)本発明の方法は、前記時間間隔が6時間を超える。
(14)本発明の方法は、前記活性化が周囲のpHの変化により自動的に行なわれる。
(15)本発明の方法は、前記活性化が周囲のpHの設定レベルにより自動的に行なわれる。
(16)本発明の方法は、前記励起が信号の伝達により行なわれ、前記信号が、高周波(RF)、超音波(US)、赤外線(IR)信号からなる群から選択された信号、およびそれらの組み合わせ信号による。
(17)本発明の方法は、さらに、前記胃腸カプセルの表面に付属した少なくとも1個の弾性スパイクを、前記活性化の前に解放するステップを含み、前記少なくとも1個の弾性スパイクが生分解性材料からなる。
(18)本発明の方法は、さらに、前記機械的負荷が設定閾値を超えたとき、前記刺激手段の出す力を増加させることを含む。
(19)本発明の方法は、刺激手段を囲むシェルを有する摂取可能な胃腸カプセル(GIC)により、哺乳類の胃腸管の一部の壁を機械的に刺激する方法であって、前記方法は、周囲のpHの設定レベルにて自動的に前記刺激手段を活性化する。
(20)本発明の方法は、刺激手段を囲むシェルを有する摂取可能な胃腸カプセル(GIC)により、哺乳類の胃腸管の一部の壁を機械的に刺激する方法であって、前記方法は、周囲のpHのレベル変化が設定レベルを超えたとき、自動的に前記刺激手段を活性化する。

Claims (3)
- 揺動手段を囲む中空シェルを有する胃腸カプセル(GIC)であって、
前記揺動手段に加わる機械的負荷を測定する手段を有し、
前記揺動手段は2つのモードで動作し、その1つはセンシングモードで他は揺動モードであり、
前記揺動手段が前記揺動モードで動作したときの前記揺動手段の出力は、前記揺動手段が前記センシングモードで動作したときの前記揺動手段の出力より大きい胃腸カプセル。 - 前記中空シェルが2つのセグメントからなり、
前記中空シェルの一セグメントを、前記中空シェルの他のセグメントの移動方向と反対方向に往復運動させる、請求項1に記載の胃腸カプセル。 - 少なくとも一つの弾性スパイクが前記中空シェルの表面に付属し、前記少なくとも一つの弾性スパイクが生分解性材料からなる、請求項1に記載の胃腸カプセル。
