Description
Claims (9)
- 長手方向軸と、一方が切削端部である両側の端部とを有する本体を備える回転式切削ツールであって、前記本体の前記切削端部から前記本体の反対の端部に向かって延在する対応する複数の螺旋状の切削エッジを形成する円周方向で離隔された螺旋溝の複数の対を備え、前記溝の第1の対の前記溝が、対応する第1の螺旋に沿って延在し、前記溝の別の対の前記溝が、前記第1の螺旋とは異なる対応する第2の螺旋に沿って延在し、前記第1の螺旋が、端部から端部まで角度的に一様である回転式切削ツールにおいて、前記第2の螺旋が、端部から端部まで角度的に非一様であって変化し、隣接する溝間の円周方向間隔が、軸方向で離隔された2つの区域で均等であり、他の場所では不均等であり、前記区域の一方が、前記切削端部にあり、前記区域の他方が、前記切削端部と、前記切削端部から遠い前記溝それぞれの端部との間にあることを特徴とする回転式切削ツール。
- さらに、前記区域が、前記本体の前記切削端部から前記本体の反対の端部に向かう方向で測定して、前記第1の溝対の切削エッジの軸方向長さの約73%の位置にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削ツール。
- さらに、前記溝の各対の前記溝が、直径方向で互いに向かい合うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削ツール。
- さらに、2対の前記溝が存在することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削ツール。
- さらに、前記第2の溝対の前記溝が前記本体の前記切削端部から延在する前記螺旋角度が、前記第1の溝対の前記溝の螺旋角度よりも小さい螺旋角度から、前記第1の溝対の前記溝の螺旋角度よりも大きい螺旋角度まで一様に変化することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削ツール。
- さらに、前記第1の螺旋が、前記長手方向軸に対して約34°であり、前記第2の螺旋が、前記軸に対して、前記本体の前記切削端部での約30°から約41°まで一様に変化することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削ツール。
- さらに、前記第2の螺旋が、端部から端部まで一様に変化することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削ツール。
- さらに、前記溝対の前記溝が、どの前記溝も任意の他の前記溝と連絡しないような螺旋角度であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削ツール。
- さらに、前記第2の溝対の各切削エッジの前記螺旋角度及び前記軸方向長さが、前記第1及び第2の溝対の前記溝間の連絡を防止するようなものであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の切削ツール。
