Description
本願は、どちらも2005年6月15日に出願した2つの関連PCT特許出願PCT/IL2005/000631およびPCT/IL2005/000632の一部継続出願であり、それらからの優先権を主張する。これらのPCT出願は両方とも、2002年1月15日出願の米国特許仮出願第60/348278号から米国特許法第119条(e)項に基づく特典を主張する、2003年1月15日出願のPCT特許出願PCT/IL03/00042の一部継続出願である、2004年7月15日出願の米国特許出願第10/893570号の一部継続出願である。これらの出願の全ての開示内容を参照によって本書に援用する。
発明の分野は、頭部の血流の測定に関する。
a)心周期の少なくとも一部分内でIPG信号の最大傾きまたは負の最大傾きを求めるステップと、
b)心周期の少なくとも一部分内でPPG信号の最大傾きまたは負の最大傾きを求めるステップと、
c)PPG信号の最大傾きまたは負の最大傾きに対するIPG信号の最大傾きまたは負の最大傾きの比を求めるステップと、
d)比から脳血流指標を計算するステップと
を含む方法を提供する。
a)頭部の時間変動IPG信号を得るステップと、
b)頭部の時間変動PPG信号を得るステップと、
c)IPGおよびPPG信号を使用して、脳血流の時間変動指標を計算するステップと、
d)IPG信号、PPG信号、および脳血流指標の1つまたはそれ以上にデータ処理を実行して、ノイズもしくはアーチファクトまたは両方を低減するステップと
を含む方法を提供する。
本発明の例示的実施形態を以下の節で、図面を参照しながら説明する。図面は必ずしもスケール通りではなく、異なる図面に示される同じ特徴または関連する特徴に対しては概して、同じ参照番号を使用している。

図4は、本発明の例示的実施形態に係る、動脈内膜切除処置中の計算された脳血流指標の時間の関数としてのグラフを概略的に示す。
図5は、全ての心周期を含める効果、および本発明の例示的実施形態に従って良好な心周期だけを含める効果を示す、図4に示した脳血流指標のグラフを概略的に示す。

Claims (11)
- 時間変動する脳血流を推定する装置であって、
被験者の頭部から得られた時間変動IPG信号を使用して、時間変動する脳血流指標を計算することと、
IPG信号および脳血流指標にデータ処理を実行して、ノイズおよびアーチファクトのうちの少なくとも一つを低減することと
を行なうように構成された少なくとも一つのプロセッサを含み、脳血流指標は、心周期全体のIPG信号の尖頭間振幅、心周期全体のIPG信号の振幅に正規化されたIPG信号の最大傾き、および心周期全体のIPG信号の振幅に正規化されたIPG信号の最小傾きのうちの少なくとも一つから計算される、装置。 - データ処理を実行することは、1つまたはそれ以上の廃棄基準を満たす心周期に対し、IPG信号のデータを廃棄することを含む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 基準は、期待される範囲外の期間を有することを含む請求項2に記載の装置。
- 期待される範囲は、心周期の平均期間の1.3倍から2倍の間の最大値を有する請求項3に記載の装置。
- 基準は、心周期と後続心周期との間に閾値未満の相互相関を有するIPG信号を含む請求項2〜4のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 基準は、心周期と先行心周期との間に閾値未満の相互相関を有するIPG信号を含む請求項2〜4のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 閾値は+0.5から+0.8の間である請求項5または6に記載の装置。
- データ処理を実行することは、IPG信号の呼吸アーチファクトを低減することを含む請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の装置。
- データ処理を実行することは、脳血流指標を平滑化することを含む請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 平滑化は時間間隔全体の平均を求めることを含む請求項9に記載の装置。
- 平滑化は、時間の関数としての脳血流指標の挙動に応じて適応調整される時間スケールを用いることを含む請求項9または10に記載の装置。
