Description

修理を要する光ファイバ領域を特定するステップ、
修理を要する光ファイバ領域に到達するまで複数の材料層の一部を除去するステップ、
複合構造体から、修理を要する光ファイバ領域を取り出すステップ、
保護カバーを除去するステップ、
光ファイバを修理するステップ、
必要に応じて、修理した光ファイバ用の新しい保護カバーを設けるステップ、
修理した光ファイバ領域を複合構造体内に再配置するステップ、および、
前記除去した材料層部分を戻すステップを含む複合構造体に埋設された光ファイバの修理方法。
Claims (8)
- 構造監視用の光ファイバ(25)を含む複数層(13、15、17、19、21、23)で形成された複合構造体(11)であって、前記複合構造体(11)の内部に少なくとも部分的に前記光ファイバ(25)が埋設されている前記複合構造体(11)において、
光ファイバの修理の必要が生じ易い埋設部分領域で、前記光ファイバ(25)が保護カバー(27)を伴なっており、前記保護カバーが前記複合構造体内に密に一体化されていることを特徴とする複合構造体。 - 前記保護カバー(27)が、その内側に位置する前記光ファイバ(25)を損傷させることなく該光ファイバ(25)に到達することを許容する靱性を有する材料で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載された複合構造体(11)。
- 前記保護カバー(27)と前記光ファイバ(25)の間の空間(29)を、充填材料が占めていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載された複合構造体(11)。
- 前記保護カバー(27)と前記光ファイバ(25)の間の空間(29)を、前記複合構造体(11)のマトリックス樹脂が占めていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載された複合構造体(11)。
- 請求項1から請求項4までのいずれかに記載された複合構造体(11)に埋設された光ファイバ(25)を修理する方法において、
a)修理を要する前記光ファイバ(25)の領域を特定するステップ;
b)修理を要する前記光ファイバ(25)の領域に到達するまで複数の材料層(13、15、17)の一部を除去するステップ;
c)前記複合構造体(11)から、修理を要する前記光ファイバ(25)の領域を引出すステップ;
d)前記保護カバー(27)を除去するステップ;
e)前記光ファイバ(25)を修理するステップ;
f)修理した前記光ファイバ(25)の領域を前記複合構造体内に再配置するステップ;および
g)ステップb)で除去した材料層(13、15、17)の部分を元に戻すステップを含むことを特徴とする光ファイバの修理方法。 - 請求項5に記載された複合構造体(11)に埋設された光ファイバ(25)を修理する方法において、
ステップe)が、修理された前記光ファイバ(25)の領域用に新しい保護カバー(27)を設ける追加のステップを含むことを特徴とする光ファイバの修理方法。 - 請求項6に記載された複合構造体(11)に埋設された光ファイバ(25)を修理する方法において、
修理された前記光ファイバ領域が、前記複合構造体に埋設された光ファイバ(25)の端(41、43)を結合することを特徴とする光ファイバの修理方法。 - 請求項6に記載された複合構造体(11)に埋設された光ファイバ(25)を修理する方法において、
修理された前記光ファイバ領域が、前記複合構造体(11)に埋設された前記光ファイバ(25)の一端(51)を、前記複合構造体(11)の外部に位置する光ファイバ(55)の一端(53)に結合することを特徴とする光ファイバの修理方法。
