Description
例えば、特開2000−271949号公報(特許文献1)には、連続成形の全工程中、材料中の繊維に張力を継続的に付加することにより、複合材の中の補強部材としての繊維が波状の変形(しわ)を繰り返すことなく、直線に整列させることができる技術が開示されている。
ここで言う非可展面とは、曲面の中でも、球面や双曲面のような複合した曲率を持つものであり、数学的には、曲面解析、例えば、ガウス曲率を求めることにより求められる。
その一方で、プリプレグは繊維方向と一致しない方向には伸縮性を持つ。このような性質を有するプリプレグを、繊維方向を層ごとに変えながら重ね合わせた積層品について、必要な方向に伸縮性を持たせ、なおかつオートクレーブ後の最終製品の強度を低下させないことが求められている。
また、後述するように、分割または部分的に切れ目を入れることによる強度への影響を強度試験で確認したところ、繊維しわによる強度の低下よりはるかに小さいことが確認できた。したがって、本発明によれば、成形品の強度の低下を抑えることができるという効果を奏する。
図1は、航空機における主翼の一部を構成するウイングボックスの構成例を示す斜視図である。このウイングボックス10は、多数のH型ストリンガ1及びリブ材11を井桁状に組み合わせて骨格を形成し、その外側をスキン12及びスパー13で覆った中空の構造体である。
また、図示のウイングボックス10において、スキン12及びスパー13には炭素繊維製複合部材を使用し、リブ材11にはたとえばチタン合金等を使用しているが、特に限定されるものではない。
まず、図3に示したCチャネル2は直線状のチャネルに周方向に曲率を与えたものであり、このような成形型にプリプレグ積層品を押圧すると、例えば領域Aに周方向のしわが発生することとなる。
上記注目プリプレグの特定においては、繊維配向がしわの発生方向と一致するプリプレグが存在しなかった場合に、繊維配向が最も近似するプリプレグを注目プリプレグとして特定することとしても良いし、繊維配向がしわ発生方向の前後所定範囲に入っている全てのプリプレグを注目プリプレグとして特定することとしても良い。
例えば、図3に示すように、しわ発生部位として領域Aが特定され、更に、しわ発生方向として周方向が特定された場合には、周方向と繊維配向が一致または最も近似するプリプレグを領域Aの部位で分割し、他の繊維配向を持つプリプレグとともに積層する(図4のステップSA3)。この結果、繊維配向が周方向と一致または近似するプリプレグ以外においては、分割されることなく通常通りに積層されるとともに、繊維配向が周方向と一致または最も近似するプリプレグにおいては、しわ発生部位にて分割された状態で積層されることとなる。
同様にオートクレーブ後のプリプレグ積層品の引張試験結果の一例を図7に示す。図6および図7より確認できるように、オートクレーブ後には特性の差はきわめて小さくなり、繊維の分割が成形品の品質を損ねることなく繊維しわの発生を抑止できることがわかる。

Claims (1)
- プリプレグを平板状に積層したプリプレグ積層品を成形型に押圧することにより、所望の形状に成形する複合材料製構造部材の成形方法であって、
繊維配向の異なる複数のプリプレグを平板状に積層することにより、前記成形型用のプリプレグ積層品を作製する作製過程と、
前記作製過程にて作製された前記成形型用のプリプレグ積層品を前記成形型に押圧する押圧過程と
を有し、
前記作製過程では、繊維配向がしわ発生方向と一致する注目プリプレグ、または、繊維配向が前記しわ発生方向と最も近似する注目プリプレグのしわ発生部位またはその近傍に相当する部位に対して、前記しわ発生方向と直交する方向に沿って部分的に切れ目をいれ、切れ目を入れた後の注目プリプレグを用いるとともに、該注目プリプレグのみに切れ目を入れることにより前記プリプレグ積層品を作製する複合材料製構造部材の成形方法。
