Claims (8)
- 電極体および電解質を収容する電池ケースと、前記ケースに設けられた端子引出孔を貫通して前記ケースの内部から外部に引き出された電極端子と、前記引出孔の開口部を囲む前記ケース壁面と前記電極端子との間で圧縮されて前記引出孔をシールする環状のシール部材と、を備えた密閉型電池を製造する方法であって、
以下の工程:
前記電極端子を構成する内側端子部材および外側端子部材を前記ケースの内側および外側からそれぞれ配置する工程、ここで前記内側端子部材および前記外側端子部材は、それらのうち一方の端子部材に設けられたリベット部または該一方の端子部材に係合されたリベット部材のリベット部が、前記引出孔と他方の端子部材に設けられたリベット孔とを貫通して該他方の端子部材側に突出するように配置される;
前記突出したリベット部をリベッティングすることにより、前記シール部材および前記ケース壁面を間に挟んで前記内側端子部材と前記外側端子部材とを締結するとともに前記シール部材を圧縮するリベッティング工程、ここで前記リベッティングは前記リベット孔の周縁部を前記他方の端子部材側から押圧治具により押圧しながら行われる;
を包含し、
前記リベッティング工程において、当該リベッティングによる被締結部位間の高さ測定を行うことを特徴とする、密閉型電池製造方法。 - 前記リベッティング開始前における前記被締結部位間の高さおよび前記リベッティング終了後における前記被締結部位間の高さを測定し、該高さのリベッティング前後での変化量に基づいてリベッティング品質の合格/不合格を判定する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記被締結部位間の高さをモニタしながら前記リベッティングを行う、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記モニタ結果をフィードバックして前記高さが所定範囲内となるように前記押圧治具の押圧力を調整する、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記モニタ結果をフィードバックして前記リベット部のリベッティング条件を制御する、請求項3または4に記載の方法。
- 前記リベット孔の周方向に対して位置の異なる複数箇所について前記高さ測定を行い、それらの測定箇所間で前記高さを比較することにより該測定箇所間における傾き発生の程度をモニタしながら前記リベッティングを行う、請求項3から5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の方法により製造された密閉型電池。
- 請求項7に記載の密閉型電池を備える車両。
