Description
第1半径=外径/定数x
によって規定し、また、定数xは、1.1〜1.7の範囲における値とする。この配分により、個々の切刃における切削圧は、半径方向の圧力分布のバランスがとれる、したがって、切削圧は増大する。このようにして、作業者の行動に影響されずに、所望の径のドリル穿孔を行うことができる。
図1〜3に示すセルフタッピング(自己ねじ立て)ねじ、いわゆるタッピング10は、ねじ山13を備えるシャフト11を有し、このシャフト11の端部領域にはドリル先端部12を設け、またこれとは反対側の他方の端部領域にはヘッド15を設ける。このとき、タッピングねじの長手方向軸線Lはタッピングねじ10の軸線方向を画定する。ヘッド15は、多角形形状に構成した、ねじ回し工具、例えばドライバビットまたはドライバキーのための回転伝達手段16を備える。
第1切刃21は、長手方向軸線Lに対して第1鋭角α1をなし、この第1鋭角α1は+/−5°の最大偏差を有して、第2切刃22の長手方向軸線Lに対する第2鋭角α2にほぼ等しいものとする。さらに、第1切刃21および第2切刃22は、それぞれ、とくに図2および3に示すドリル先端部12の段差端縁に設け、それぞれ、それぞれの切刃底23,24から、好適には0.05mm〜0.5mmの高さh1もしくはh2を有する。このとき、高さh1,h2は異なる大きさとすることができる。
包絡円錐表層面積A1=(第1半径r1)2/sin(α1)×Pi
によって表される。
第1半径r1=外径ra/定数x
によって規定され、一方、定数xは、1.1〜1.7の範囲における値を取るものとする。

Claims (6)
- 少なくとも部分的にねじ山(13)を備えるシャフト(11)であって、長手方向軸線(L)を画定し、その第1端部にドリル先端部(12)を設け、また第1端部とは反対側の第2端部にヘッド(15)を設けた該シャフト(11)と、
少なくとも1個の第1切刃(21)と、
前記ドリル先端部(12)の半径方向外方領域に設けた、少なくとも1個の第2切刃(22)と、
を有するタッピングねじにおいて、
前記第1切刃(21)を、前記ドリル先端部(12)の半径方向内方領域に限定して設け、また、前記第1切刃(21)によって画定される包絡円錐表層面積(A1)は、+/−10%の最大偏差を有して、前記第2切刃(22)によって画定される包絡円錐表層面積(A2)にほぼ等しく、また
前記第1切刃(21)の前記長手方向軸線(L)に対する第1鋭角(α1)は、+/−5°の最大偏差を有して、前記第2切刃(22)の前記長手方向軸線(L)に対する第2鋭角(α2)にほぼ等しいものとしたことを特徴とするタッピングねじ。 - 請求項1記載のタッピングねじにおいて、前記第1切刃(21)は、前記長手方向軸線(L)に隣接する軸線方向領域を起端として第1半径(r1)の位置まで延びるとともに、前記第2切刃(22)は、前記ドリル先端部(12)の外径(ra)から前記長手方向軸線(L)向かって第2半径(r2)の位置まで延びるものとしたタッピングねじ。
- 請求項1または2に記載のタッピングねじにおいて、前記第1半径(r1)および前記第2半径(r2)を、+/−20%の最大公差を有して同じ大きさとしたタッピングねじ。
- 請求項2または3に記載のタッピングねじにおいて、前記第1半径(r1)は、次式の関数、すなわち
第1半径(r1)=外径(ra)/定数x
によって規定し、また、前記定数xは、1.1〜1.7の範囲における値としたタッピングねじ。 - 請求項1から4までのいずれか1項に記載のタッピングねじにおいて、前記切刃(21,22)の前記切刃底(23,24)からの高さ(h1,h2)を、0.05mm〜0.5mmの範囲における値としたタッピングねじ。
- 請求項1〜5までのいずれか1項に記載のタッピングねじにおいて、前記ドリル先端部(12)の遊端(14)に、前記長手方向軸線(L)に直交して延在する少なくとも1個の第3切刃(25)を設け、この第3切刃(25)に対して、前記第1切刃(21)が半径方向外方に連続するものとしたタッピングねじ。
