Description
Claims (19)
- ホログラフィックに再構成されるシーンを投影するホログラフィック投影システムであって、
再構成光波を生成する再構成光源手段と、
前記再構成光波を変調し、且つ、空間光変調器のフーリエ面に配置される変調再構成光波をフィルタリングするための瞳に向けて変調再構成光波を放射する空間光変調器の形態の少なくとも1つのホログラフィック再構成手段と、
を含み、さらに、
前記瞳によりフィルタリングされた前記変調再構成光波を反射する反射素子であって、該反射素子は、前記瞳に配置され前記再構成光波が前記反射素子に当たった場合該再構成光波が入射してくる入射側焦点と、前記反射素子から反射された後前記再構成光波が伝播し、前方に前記シーンがホログラフィックに再構成される出射側焦点と、を有する楕円状にカーブした反射面を有する、反射素子と、
光学的に制御可能な偏向特性を有する光偏向構造を含む偏向素子であって、該偏向素子の該光偏向構造は、前記反射素子の前記反射面と前記入射側焦点との間、且つ、前記反射素子の前記反射面と前記出射側焦点との間に配置されている、前記偏向素子と、
前記出射側焦点の位置を眼位置検出手段により検出される観察者の眼の位置に制御するために前記偏向素子の前記偏向特性を光学的に制御する偏向制御手段と、
を有する反射型光学系、
を含むことを特徴とするホログラフィック投影システム。 - 前記偏向制御手段は、前記入射側焦点の位置を制御するために前記偏向素子の前記偏向特性を光学的に制御するために提供されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記偏向制御手段は、収差を補正するために前記偏向素子の前記偏向特性を光学的に制御するために提供されることを特徴とする請求項1または2の記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記反射素子は少なくとも部分的に透明であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3の何れか一項に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記反射素子は前記偏向素子に組み込まれることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4の何れか一項に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記偏向素子は、光学的に制御可能な回折構造および/または屈折構造を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至5の何れか一項に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記偏向素子は、光アドレス型空間光変調器であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至6の何れか一項に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記光アドレス型空間光変調器は、
透明電極を有する第1のガラス板と、
方位が光学制御により変更可能なLC(液晶)分子を含むLC層と、
感光半導体層と、
第2のガラス板と、
を具備することを特徴とする請求項7に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。 - 前記感光半導体層は少なくとも部分的に透明であることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記半導体層は、前記偏向制御手段により影響を受ける帯構造を示すことを特徴とする請求項8または9に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記偏向素子の前記偏向特性を制御する前記偏向制御手段は、前記入射側焦点に配置され前記出射側焦点とは反対向きに配置されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至10の何れか一項に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記偏向制御手段は、前記入射側焦点及び前記出射側焦点に配置され且つ干渉パターンが前記偏向素子の前記偏向特性を制御するのに適する2つの干渉するコヒーレント光源を具備することを特徴とする請求項1乃至10の何れか一項に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記偏向制御手段は、書き込み光を前記偏向素子に投影するための電気アドレス型空間光変調器であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11の何れか一項に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記偏向制御手段は、前記偏向素子を走査するための強度制御可能な走査レーザ光の形態で設計されることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11の何れか一項に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記反射型光学系はダイクロイック層を具備しおよび/または前記反射素子はダイクロイック特性を示し、前記再構成光波及び前記偏向制御手段により出力される前記書き込み光は異なる波長を有することを特徴とする請求項13に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記反射型光学系は反射型偏光フィルタを具備しおよび/または前記反射素子は偏光フィルタの特性を示し、前記再構成光波及び前記偏向制御手段により出力される前記書き込み光は異なる偏光を有することを特徴とする請求項13に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記偏向素子の前記偏向特性を制御する前記偏向制御手段は、人間の眼に対して不可視である波長範囲内の書き込み光を出力することを特徴とする請求項13に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- 前記瞳の位置又は前記瞳の同一画像の位置を前記反射型光学系の前記入射側焦点に制御する位置制御手段を具備することを特徴とする請求項1乃至17の何れか一項に記載のホログラフィック投影システム。
- ホログラフィックに再構成されるシーンを投影するホログラフィック投影方法であって、
空間光変調器の形態の少なくとも1つのホログラフィック再構成手段により変調再構成光波を生成するステップと、
反射光学系の楕円状にカーブした反射面の入射側焦点および前記空間光変調器のフーリエ面に配置される瞳の各々を位置決めするステップと、
反射型光学系に向かう前記変調再構成光波を前記瞳の助けによりフィルタリングするステップと、
前記反射型光学系の楕円状にカーブした前記反射面からの前記フィルタリングされた変調再構成光波を反射し、前記反射型光学系の楕円状にカーブした前記反射面の出射側焦点の前方においてシーンのホログラフィック再構成を生成するステップと、
観察者の眼の位置を検出するステップと、
前記反射型光学系の楕円状にカーブした反射面の前記出射側焦点の位置を前記眼位置検出手段により検出された観察者の眼の前記位置に制御するために前記反射型光学系の偏向素子の偏向特性を光学制御するステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。
