Description
A)ポリオレフィン熱可塑性樹脂、
B)オレフィン系エラストマー、
C)水素化スチレン系ブロックコポリマー、
D)前記エラストマー用架橋剤、および
E)オプションの添加剤
をブレンドする工程、
前記エラストマーを少なくとも部分的に架橋するために、得られたブレンドを動的加硫条件下で処理する工程、
ブレンド中に発泡剤を組み込む工程、および
発泡体を作製するために前記発泡剤を活性化する工程
を含む、発泡熱可塑性加硫物を調製する方法に関する。
熱可塑性樹脂成分
本発明の組成物中での使用に適する熱可塑性樹脂には熱可塑性物質、結晶性ポリオレフィン単独重合体および共重合体が含まれる。望ましくは、それらは2から7個の炭素原子を有するモノオレフィン単量体、例えばエチレン、プロピレン、1‐ブテン、イソブチレン、1‐ペンテン、1‐ヘキセン、1‐オクテン、3‐メチル‐1‐ペンテン、4‐メチル‐1‐ペンテン、5‐メチル‐1‐ヘキセン、それらの混合物およびそれらの(メタ)アクリレートおよび/または酢酸ビニルとの共重合体から調製される。しかし、好ましいのは3から6個の炭素原子を有するモノマーであり、プロピレンが最も好ましい。本明細書および請求項中で用いられるポリプロピレンという用語は、プロピレンの単独重合体ならびに約1から約30重量パーセントのエチレンおよび/または4から16個の炭素原子のアルファ‐オレフィン共重合用単量体を含むプロピレンの放射線照射体および/またはランダム共重合体およびそれらの混合物を含む。ポリプロピレンはアイソタクチックまたはシンジオタクチックなどさまざまな種類の分子構造、および「弾性」ポリプロピレンなど高いパーセンテージの非晶質構造を有する物質を含む種々の結晶化度を有してもよい。本発明中で使用することができる他のポリオレフィンには高密度、低密度、線形低密度および超低密度ポリエチレンおよびエチレンと(メタ)アクリレートおよび/または酢酸ビニルとの共重合体が含まれる。これらのポリオレフィンには線形ポリマーまたは分岐ポリマーが両方とも含まれる。
目的に適うゴムには二種類以上のアルファ‐モノオレフィンの非極性ゴム状共重合体、好ましくは、少なくとも一つのポリエン、通常はジエンと共重合した共重合体が含まれる。飽和モノオレフィン共重合体ゴム、例えばエチレン‐プロピレン共重合体ゴム(EPM)を使用してもよい。しかし、EPDMゴムなど不飽和モノオレフィンゴムはさらに適する。EPDMはエチレン、プロピレンおよび非共役ジエンの三元重合体である。目的を満たす非共役ジエンには5‐エチリデン‐2‐ノルボルネン(ENB)、1,4‐ヘキサジエン、5‐メチレン‐2‐ノルボルネン(MNB)、1,6‐オクタジエン、5‐メチル‐1、4‐ヘキサジエン、3,7‐ジメチル‐1,6‐オクタジエン、1,3‐シクロペンタジエン、1,4‐シクロヘキサジエン、ジシクロペンタジエン(DCPD)、およびビニルノルボルネン(VNB)が含まれる。
オプションとして、熱可塑性加硫物は強化性および非強化性の充填材、可塑剤、抗酸化剤、安定剤、ゴムプロセスオイル、増量オイル、滑剤、ブロッキング防止剤、帯電防止剤、ワックス、発泡剤、顔料、難燃剤およびゴム配合技術で知られているその他の加工助剤を含有することがある。そのような添加剤は組成物全体の最高約70重量パーセント、より好ましくは最高約65重量パーセントを構成することがある。利用できる充填材および増量剤には炭酸カルシウム、粘土、シリカ、タルク、二酸化チタン、カーボンブラックなど通常の無機物が含まれる。一般に、ゴムプロセスオイルは石油留分から誘導されるパラフィン系、ナフテン系または芳香族系のオイルである。オイルは組成物中に存在する特定のゴムまたはゴム成分とともに普通に用いられているオイルから選ばれる。
熱可塑性樹脂に対するゴム量および、もしあればゴムの加硫の程度によって共に連続相の形態または相反転もまた可能ではあるが、熱可塑性加硫物のゴム成分は一般に小さな、すなわちミクロサイズの熱可塑性樹脂の連続的なマトリックス内の粒子として存在する。好ましくは、ゴムは少なくとも部分的に加硫され、最も好ましくは十分に加硫(架橋)される。
本発明の組成物は、水素化スチレン熱可塑性エラストマー成分を含む。一般に、この成分は水素化ポリ(スチレン‐b‐イソプレン‐b‐スチレン)ブロック共重合体(SEPS)として記載される。本発明の方法での使用に特に適するそのような物質の一つは、クラレグループ(Kuraray Group)の会社セプトン・カンパニー・オブ・アメリカ社(Septon Company of America Inc.)から入手できるセプトンTM(SeptonTM)2002である。
Claims (1)
- I)
A)ポリオレフィン熱可塑性樹脂、
B)オレフィン系エラストマー、
C)水素化スチレン系ブロック共重合体、
D)前記エラストマー用架橋剤、および
E)オプション添加剤
をブレンドする工程、
II)前記エラストマーを少なくとも部分的に架橋するために、得られたブレンドを動的加硫条件下で処理する工程、
III)ブレンド中に発泡剤を組み込む工程、および発泡体を作製するために前記発泡剤を活性化する工程を含み、
前記ブレンドはA)+B)の合計重量を基準として8から90重量パーセントのポリオレフィン熱可塑性樹脂A)、および92から10重量パーセントのオレフィン系エラストマーB)を含み、更にブレンドの全重量を基準として1から10重量パーセントのブロック共重合体C)を含み、
調製された発泡体の 圧縮たわみが0.40〜1.60Kgf/100mm2であり、当該圧縮たわみは、当該発泡体の比重が0.28から0.40の場合には0.40から0.84Kgf/100mm 2 であり、当該発泡体の比重が0.40より大きく0.65以下の場合には、0.84から1.60Kgf/100mm 2 であることを特徴とする、発泡熱可塑性加硫体を調製するプロセス。
