Description
《プレポリマーの合成》
温度制御付きの500mlのフラスコに、3,3′−ジメチルジフェニル−4,4′−ジイソシアナートを0.1モル(29g)と、3,3′−ジメチルジフェニル−4,4′−ジアミンを0.1モル(24g)秤量し、5℃に保ちながら10分間122rpm/minで攪拌混合させて、プレポリマーを合成した。分子量を東ソー社製のGPC(HLC−8220GPC)を使用して測定した結果、分子量は11,700、重合度22(プレポリマー1)であった。
前記プレポリマー(プレポリマー1〜5)を、10質量%となる様にジメチルホルムアミド(以降、DMFと略記する)に溶解し、電極付のPZT膜上に乾燥膜厚が30μmの厚さになるように塗布して尿素樹脂膜を形成し、圧電素子1〜5を作製した。なお、プレポリマー6は、DMFに不溶解せず、また高粘度であるため除外した。得られた各尿素樹脂膜のそれぞれの赤外吸収スペクトルでは、1650±2cm−1付近に生成した尿素結合の吸収がみられ、生成した膜がポリ尿素であることを確認した。
本発明の形成方法により得られた圧電素子1〜5について、超音波試験装置(ソノーラメディカルシステム社(Sonora Medical Systems,Inc:2021Miller Drive Longmont,Colorado(0501 USA))の音響強度測定システムModel805(1〜50MHz)測定システム)を使用して、耐圧電試験を行い、得られた送受信波形を観測した。送信は、PZT膜の両端面にパルス電圧を印加して行い、受信は樹脂膜の両端の電圧信号を読みとり性能を評価した。なお、測定はパルス電圧4V、試料の開口面積3cm2で行った。
《圧電素子の作製》
実施例1に記載の圧電素子2の作製方法において、プレポリマー2を用いてPZT膜上にプレポリマーの塗布と分極処理を行う際に、コロナ放電処理時のコロナ放電密度を、表2に記載の条件に変更した以外は同様にして、圧電素子8〜13を作製した。
実施例1に記載の圧電素子2の作製方法において、プレポリマー2を用いてコロナ処理の代わりに、直流パルス電圧をかけて分極処理を行った。PZT基体(17mm角)上に銀電極を付け、その上にプレポリマー2を塗布し、次いで、厚さが32μmになるように銀電極を付けた。また、この銀電極を通じて、4V、パルス幅100μsec、パルス間隔10msecにて分極処理した。処理温度と処理時間として、80℃で21分間、100℃で17分間、120℃で12分間、140℃で8分間処理して、圧電素子14〜17を作製した。得られた各圧電素子について、実施例1に記載の方法と同様にして、受信の電圧信号(mV)を測定した結果、いずれも49mV〜52mVの範囲であった。
《プレポリマーの合成》
米国特許第4,455,410号明細書に記載の方法に従って、下記の構造からなるジアミンと酸無水物との縮合物であるプレポリマー7〜10を合成した。
実施例1に記載の圧電素子の作製方法に従って、プレポリマーとして上記合成したプレポリマー7〜10を用いて、電極付のPZT膜上に乾燥膜厚として50μmとなるように塗設して、圧電素子18〜21を作製した。
実施例4に記載の圧電素子の作製方法において、プレポリマーとしてポリアミド6、ポリアミド12、ポリエチレンテレフタレートをそれぞれ使用し、電極付のPZT膜上に乾燥膜厚として50μmとなるように塗設して、圧電素子22〜24を作製した。
Claims (4)
- 尿素結合、エステル結合、アミド結合およびイミド結合から選ばれる少なくとも1つの結合を含む極性基を有する樹脂を合成する原料モノマーを、反応温度条件が5℃以上、60℃以下で、重合度が4以上、300以下の樹脂として予め合成した後、該予め合成した樹脂を基体上に塗布し、70℃以上、250℃以下で分極処理を行いながら該予め合成した樹脂を重合させて、該基体上に圧電性合成樹脂膜を形成することを特徴とする圧電性合成樹脂膜の形成方法。
- 前記原料モノマーの少なくとも1種が、ジイソシアナート化合物、またはジイソシアナート化合物及びジアミン化合物の混合物であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載の圧電性合成樹脂膜の形成方法。
- 前記分極処理が、直流パルス放電処理または高電圧パルスコロナ放電処理であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項または第2項に記載の圧電性合成樹脂膜の形成方法。
- 前記基体が、圧電性セラミックであることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項乃至第3項のいずれか1項に記載の圧電性合成樹脂膜の形成方法。
