Claims (12)
- 複数の電気化学電池を有している電気化学的発電装置に充電する方法であって、
各電気化学電池は、少なくとも一つのカソード、少なくとも一つのアノード、及び、これらの間の少なくとも一つの電解質セパレータ、を含み、前記電気化学的発電装置は、各電気化学電池のそれぞれの最大電圧に関連する全体の電圧によって特徴づけられ、
前記方法は、
a)前記電気化学的発電装置の前記複数の電気化学電池のそれぞれの電圧が所定の電圧レベルに達するように、前記複数の電気化学電池を充電すること、
b)前記電気化学的発電装置における前記複数の電気化学電池のうち特定の電気化学電池を選択すること、
c)前記特定の電気化学電池を対応する最大電圧までに更に充電して、これにより、前記特定の電気化学電池のカソードを満充電状態に回復すること、
d)前記特定の電気化学電池が前記満充電状態に回復した後に、前記所定の電圧レベルまで放電すること、
を含む、方法。 - 前記段階b)〜d)を、前記発電装置における複数の電気化学電池の全ての電気化学電池に対して繰り返して適用することを更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記各特定の電気化学電池が前記所定の電圧レベルまで放電することを許容する前に、前記各特定の電気化学電池を所定期間において各々の最大電圧に維持することを更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記特定の電気化学電池の充電は、10秒又は15秒の間に発生する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記発電装置における複数の電気化学電池は、積層されており、
前記段階b)〜d)において、前記特定の電気化学電池の選択は、積層された前記複数の電気化学電池中の位置に基づいている、請求項2に記載の方法。 - 前記段階b)〜d)において、前記特定の電気化学電池の選択は、積層された前記複数の電気化学電池の中の位置のランダムな選択に基づいている、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記段階b)〜d)において、前記特定の電気化学電池の選択は、積層された前記複数の電気化学電池の中の位置の順序づけられた選択に基づいている、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記所定の電圧レベルは、前記電気化学的発電装置の適用負荷における予め設定された電圧制限であって、
前記方法は、前記複数の電気化学電池の電圧の合計が前記適用負荷の予め設定された電圧制限を上回らないことを確実にするために、
前記特定の電気化学電池をその最大電圧に充電する前に、前記電気化学的発電装置における残されて選択されていない各々の電気化学電池の電圧を、放電を経て減らす段階を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記特定の電気化学電池の最大電圧より低い所定の電圧レベルに、前記特定の電気化学電池を制御可能に放電する段階を更に備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記電気化学的発電装置に含まれる電気化学電池の数によって除算される前記所定の電圧レベルは、約2.8ボルト〜約3.2ボルトの範囲である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも2つの電気化学電池及びエレクトロニクス制御システムを備え、
前記エレクトロニクス制御システムは、請求項1に記載の方法を実施するように作動する、電気化学的発電装置。 - 少なくとも2つの電気化学電池及びエレクトロニクス制御システムを備える電気化学的発電装置であって、
前記エレクトロニクス制御システムは、前記少なくとも2つの電気化学電池のそれぞれの電圧が所定の電圧レベルに達するように、前記少なくとも2つの電気化学電池を充電し、前記発電装置における前記少なくとも2つの電気化学電池をそれぞれ、最大電圧まで更に充電して初期の化学状態に回復させた後に、前記所定の電圧レベルまで放電するように作動する、電気化学的発電装置。
