本発明の実施の形態1を図1〜図26に基づいて説明すれば以下のとおりである。なお、図1は本実施の形態に係る液晶パネルの一部を示す平面図(ただし、液晶層およびカラーフィルタ基板は省略)であり、図7は図1のA−A線に沿った矢視断面図であり、図8は図1のB−B線に沿った矢視断面図であり、図9は図1のC−C線に沿った矢視断面図である。
本発明の実施の形態2を図5〜6および図12に基づいて説明すれば以下のとおりである。なお、図5は本実施の形態に係る液晶パネルの一部を示す平面図(ただし、液晶層およびカラーフィルタ基板は省略)であり、図12は図5のF−F線に沿った矢視断面図である。
本発明の実施の形態3を図27〜図33に基づいて説明すれば以下のとおりである。図27は本実施の形態に係る液晶パネルの構成を示す平面図であり、図29は図27の点線で囲った部分を示す拡大平面図(ただし、液晶層およびカラーフィルタ基板は省略)であり、図31は図29のP−P線に沿った矢視断面図であり、図32は図29のp−p線に沿った矢視断面図である。
Claims (2)
- 走査信号線およびデータ信号線からなる信号線、該信号線に接続されたトランジスタ、上記信号線で画される画素領域に対応して設けられた画素電極、並びに上記画素領域を横切る保持容量配線を有するアクティブマトリクス基板と対向基板との間に、スプレイ配向からベンド配向へ転移する液晶層を備えた液晶パネルであって、
上記画素電極には、上記保持容量配線と重なる部分に、スプレイ配向からベンド配向への転移を起こさせるための開口部が形成され、
上記アクティブマトリクス基板の表面には、ベンド配向からスプレイ配向への逆転移を抑制するための段差部が、隣り合う画素電極の間隙および上記信号線に重なるように形成され、
上記表面には、隣り合う画素電極の間隙および上記信号線に重なるように溝が設けられ、該溝によって上記段差部が形成され、
上記溝は、アクティブマトリクス基板に設けられる絶縁膜を部分的に除去あるいは部分的に薄くすることによって形成され、
上記絶縁膜は、トランジスタの上層に設けられる、有機物を含んだ層間絶縁膜であることを特徴とする液晶パネル。 - 請求項1記載の液晶パネルを備えることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
