Description
本発明のブロック共重合体を、溶媒に溶解したものを、基材上に塗布、乾燥させた。次に、これをラビングした。結果を図5Aに示す。図5Aは光学顕微鏡写真である。

Claims (6)
- 互いに対向する第1表示板及び第2表示板と、
前記第1表示板及び前記第2表示板のうちの少なくとも一方の上に形成され、ポリアミック酸部とポリイミド部とが結合されたブロック共重合体を含む配向膜と、
前記第1表示板及び前記第2表示板により挟持され、液晶分子を含む液晶層と、を備える液晶表示装置であって、
前記配向膜は、前記ポリイミド部が密集している第1領域と、前記ポリアミック酸部が密集している第2領域と、を含み、
前記第1領域は前記液晶層側に位置し、前記第2の領域は前記配向膜の基礎を形成する、液晶表示装置。 - 前記ポリアミック酸部と前記ポリイミド部とは、二無水物構造を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記ブロック共重合体は、
- 前記ポリアミック酸部と前記ポリイミド部とは、共有結合していることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記ポリアミック酸部と前記ポリイミド部とは、芳香族基を含む結合基で結合されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記液晶層の液晶分子は前記第1の表示板および前記第2の表示板の表面に並んで配向していることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の液晶表示装置。
