Claims (2)
- 端面と周面とが交差する領域に形成された面である面取り部を有する環状部材の、前記端面に対して被覆材の溶射を行ない、前記端面に前記被覆材からなる皮膜を形成する環状部材の被覆方法であって、
面取り部を有する環状部材が準備される環状部材準備工程と、
前記環状部材において、皮膜が形成されるべき領域である皮膜形成領域以外の領域がマスキング治具により覆われるマスキング工程と、
前記マスキング治具により前記皮膜形成領域以外の領域が覆われた前記環状部材に対して被覆材の溶射が行なわれ、前記被覆材からなる前記皮膜が形成される溶射工程とを備え、
前記マスキング工程では、前記環状部材の前記面取り部を覆うためのマスク部を備え、前記皮膜形成領域以外の領域を覆った場合、前記マスク部は前記面取り部に接触して前記面取り部を覆い、前記面取り部に接触する面に沿って前記マスク部の一部が前記端面側に突出するマスキング治具が用いられて、前記マスキング治具の前記マスク部が前記環状部材の前記面取り部に接触することにより前記面取り部が前記マスク部により覆われ、
前記マスキング工程では、前記面取り部に接触する面に沿って前記端面側に突出する前記マスク部の先端と前記環状部材の前記端面との距離が、前記溶射工程において前記皮膜形成領域に形成される前記皮膜の厚さ以上前記厚さの3倍以下となるように、前記面取り部が前記マスク部により覆われる、環状部材の被覆方法。 - 前記マスク部は、弾性素材からなっており、前記弾性素材よりもヤング率の大きい素材からなる支持部材により支持されている、請求項1に記載の環状部材の被覆方法。
