Claims (8)
- 印刷装置であって、
外側表面と、該外側表面にわたって位置決めされる実質的に同等の寸法を有する一連のセルとを有する、イメージング部材と、
マーキング粒子及び誘電性液体を有するインクの液滴を前記イメージング部材の前記セルへと、前記インクにおける所望の像様パターンで選択的に放出する、インクジェットデバイスと、
前記インクジェットデバイスが前記セルへと前記液滴を放出した後に、前記イメージング部材の前記セルを、追加の前記誘電性流体で充填する機構と、
前記インクにおける前記マーキング粒子を前記誘電性液体から分別すると同時に、前記マーキング粒子における前記像様パターンをレシーバ部材に対して転写するデバイスを有する、転写機構と、
を有する印刷装置。 - 前記マーキング粒子は電荷を帯びている、
請求項1記載の印刷装置。 - 前記転写機構は、前記マーキング粒子の分別を促進させる電気バイアスデバイスを有する、
請求項2記載の印刷装置。 - 前記イメージング部材は、密接してつめられた構造において該ローラーの円周表面全体に実質的にわたって位置決めされる前記セルを有するローラーである、
請求項1記載の印刷装置。 - 印刷の方法であって、
マーキング粒子及び誘電性液体を有するインク液滴をテクスチャ加工されたイメージング部材のセルへと噴出させる段階と、
該セルを追加の前記誘電性流体で充填する段階と、
次の2つの段階を同時に実行する段階であって、前記マーキング粒子を前記誘電性液体から分離させるよう前記テクスチャ加工されたイメージング部材の前記セルにおける前記インクを分別する段階及び前記マーキング粒子を前記テクスチャ加工されたイメージング部材からレシーバへと転写する段階である、段階と、
前記テクスチャ加工されたイメージング部材から過剰の前記誘電性液体を取り除く段階と、
を有する方法。 - 前記インクは、像様に前記セルへと噴出される、
請求項5記載の方法。 - 電気バイアスは、前記セルにおいて前記インクを分別する段階を促進させるよう適用される、
請求項6記載の方法。 - 前記マーキング粒子は、まず前記テクスチャ加工されたイメージング部材から中間部材まで転写され、その後に該中間部材からレシーバ部材まで転写される、
請求項5記載の方法。
