Claims (1)
- 第1の基板と、
第2の基板と、
前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板の間に配置された液晶層と、
前記第2の基板と前記液晶層の間に配置され、一方が櫛歯状の電極であり、もう一方がベタ状の電極である画素電極及び共通電極と、
前記第1の基板に対して、前記液晶層が配置された側の反対側に配置された裏面電極とを有し、
前記画素電極に印加されている電圧とは独立して、前記裏面電極に電圧が印加されており、
前記画素電極に電圧が印加されている時は、前記裏面電極に、前記画素電極に印加された電圧の大きさよりも大きい、5V以上10V未満の交流電圧が印加されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
