Claims (6)

第1の組付け面に組み付けるように適応された第2の組付け面であって、遠位側突出部と組み合わされるように適応された遠位側収容部分を備えた第2の組付け面を有する第2の弾性シール部分とからなり、
第1と第2の弾性シール部分は、それぞれ、互いに接合するように構成された近位側シール部材をさらに備え、近位側シール部材は、シールの周囲部付近において第1の厚さを有するとともに縦軸付近において第2の厚さを有し、かつ、第1の厚さは第2の厚さよりも大きく、
遠位側突出部は、シールの周囲部付近において第3の厚さを有するとともに縦軸付近において第4の厚さを有し、かつ、第3の厚さは第4の厚さよりも大きく、
治療機器が第1の弾性シール部分と第2の弾性シール部分との間に通されたときに第1と第2の弾性シール部分が治療機器の周囲面全体のまわりで治療機器と密封式に係合するように構成されたシール。 - シールは、0.010インチ(0.254mm)〜0.170インチ(4.32mm)の外径を有する円筒状の治療機器が通過できるように適応された請求項1に記載のシール。
- 遠位側突出部は、縦軸のまわりで縦軸に対して直角に向けられた平坦部分を有する請求項1に記載のシール。
- 近位側シール部材は、シールの周囲部付近において0.075インチ(1.90mm)〜0.175インチ(4.45mm)の第1の厚さを有するとともに、縦軸付近において0.005インチ(0.127mm)〜0.025インチ(0.635mm)の第2の厚さを有し、遠位側突出部は、シールの周囲部付近において0.075インチ(1.90mm)〜0.175インチ(4.45mm)の第3の厚さを有するとともに、縦軸付近において0.005インチ(0.127mm)〜0.025インチ(0.635mm)の第4の厚さを有する請求項1に記載のシール。
- 第1の厚さは0.125インチ(3.18mm)であり、第2の厚さは0.0075インチ(0.190mm)であり、第3の厚さは0.125インチ(3.18mm)であり、第4の厚さは0.0075インチ(0.190mm)である請求項4に記載のシール。
- 遠位側突出部は、縦軸の近くで第1の組付け面に対し垂直に向けられた請求項1に記載のシール。
