Description
Claims (17)
- 再生成マトリクスと画像形成マトリクスとを有する3次元ディスプレイのための制御可能照明装置であって、
光源ごとに少なくとも1つの光放射エレメントを有するプライマリ光源の照明マトリクスと、
光が、前記再生成マトリクスを照射し、前記画像形成マトリクスから観察平面内の観察者の各眼に対して束状に導かれる、制御可能光変調器(SLM)と、
を備え、
コンピュータ生成ホログラム(CGH)が、前記制御可能光変調器(SLM)内で符号化され、プライマリ光源(11, ..., 1n)により照明され、
前記符号化は、観察者の眼の位置に基づいて設定可能な照明を実現するために可変パラメータを用いて実行され、
前記制御可能光変調器(SLM)の後方の少なくとも1つの平面内で、セカンダリ配光を有するセカンダリ光源のマトリクス(2)が前記コンピュータ生成ホログラム(CGH)により再構成される
ことを特徴とする制御可能照明装置。 - 前記再生成マトリクス(4)は、自動立体ディスプレイまたはホログラフィック・ディスプレイである、請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- 前記プライマリ光源のプライマリ配光は、前記観察者の位置に応じて、前記セカンダリ光源のセカンダリ配光へ変換される、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- 所定のホログラム符号化を維持しながらマトリクス全体における前記プライマリ光源または当該マトリクスの選択された光源の位置または強度を変化させることと、前記プライマリ光源を変化させずに符号化された前記コンピュータ生成ホログラム(CGH)を修正することと、の少なくともいずれかを実行することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- 前記セカンダリ光源は複数の平面上で同時に再構成される、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- 前記セカンダリ光源(21, ..., 2n)は、セカンダリ配光を有する、点形状光エレメント、線形状光エレメント、または、面形状光エレメントを任意に備えるマトリクスを形成する、請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- 前記セカンダリ配光は、前記プライマリ光源(11, ..., 1n)を変更することと、前記コンピュータ生成ホログラム(CGH)の前記符号化を変更することと、の少なくともいずれかにより修正される、請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- 前記セカンダリ配光は、セカンダリ光源(21, ..., 2n)の数と、個々の光源間の距離とに関して可変である、請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- 前記セカンダリ光源(21, ..., 2n)は、横方向だけでなく軸方向にも移動可能である、請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- ホログラム符号化を行う前記制御可能光変調器(SLM)は、透過型エレメントまたは反射型エレメントである、請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- 前記制御可能光変調器(SLM)の前方または後方には、光束を、形成、屈折、または、除去する、さらなる光学エレメントが存在する、請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- 符号化されたCGHを有する前記制御可能光変調器の後方には、拡散光と回折次数の高い光を除去するとともに、前記セカンダリ光源の広がりを制限するための可変開口部を有する、他の透過型制御可能光変調器が存在する、請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- 前記画像形成マトリクスは、並行に配置されたレンチキュールを有するレンチキュラ、レンズアレイ、または、ホログラフィック光学エレメント(HOE)のいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- 前記制御可能光変調器(SLM)は、伝播または反射において動作する制御可能回折光学エレメント(DOE)、セル上に衝突する光の位相と振幅との少なくともいずれかに作用するセルのマトリクス、または、音響光学的アドレス可能空間光変調器(AOSLM)のような連続的に変化可能な制御可能光変調器、のいずれかである、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- 多数の観察者の眼の位置に対応する前記セカンダリ配光と、個々の前記コンピュータ生成ホログラム(CGH)は、事前計算されてルック・アップ・テーブル(LUT)に格納される、請求項1に記載の制御可能照明装置。
- 前記3次元ディスプレイは、前記再生成マトリクス(4)としてホログラフィック・ディスプレイを有し、
前記再生成マトリクス(4)のホログラムを再構成するために使用される、前記プライマリ光源及び前記セカンダリ光源は、十分な空間的及び時間的コヒーレンスを示す、
請求項2に記載の制御可能照明装置。 - 請求項1から16のいずれか1項に記載の制御可能照明装置を備える3次元ディスプレイ。
