Description

それは、ミルクだけが給与される雄仔牛短期肥育では、第一胃の働きが抑えられ、病気に対する抵抗力が弱くなるからである。このような仔ウシの胃の容積は、濃厚飼料や干草を与えたものの半分程度であり、胃粘膜の組織的、機能的な面での発達も遅れている。健康に肥育するためには、消化器官を正常に発達させる必要がある。
以下、本発明について詳細に説明する。
脂質代謝を改善し、健康に飼育する。
脂質代謝を改善し、代謝器官の能力を発揮できるようにする。
脂質代謝を改善し、摂取した栄養素を有効に利用できるようにする。
脂質代謝を改善し、胸最長筋脂肪含量を高めて、肉質を改善する。
カロリーは先ず骨格の発育に利用され、次いで筋肉の生産に利用され、最後に脂肪の生産に利用される。
脂肪の蓄積は、腹腔内脂肪、腎臓脂肪→筋間脂肪→皮下脂肪→筋肉内脂肪(サシ)の順序で行われる。本発明によれば、仔ウシで、肝臓や腎臓の脂肪量を下げて筋肉内脂肪を高めるような、飼育方法の開発にはじめて成功することができたものである。
ビタミンCや多価不飽和脂肪酸は、脂肪細胞の分化を促進する。これに対し、ビタミンA、Dは分化を阻害する。
栄養素の体内レベルをうまく調節することによって、脂肪組織の蓄積を人為的に制御することができる可能性がある。
例えば、インスリンは、脂質合成を促進し、成長ホルモン、カテコールアミンは、脂質合成を抑制する。
カテコールアミンは、脂質分解の有力な促進因子である。
本発明は、これら脂質代謝を調節して脂肪組織を人為的に制御できる天然素材の開発にはじめて成功したものである。
(イ)健康に飼育する。
(ロ)内臓器官の能力を発揮させる。
(ハ)摂取した脂肪を効率的に利用する。
(ニ)サシを多くして肉質を改善する。
という著効が奏されるのである。
ホルスタイン種新生仔ウシ(12頭)に対し、出生直後に各母ウシの初乳を給与し続く3日齢までIgGを強化した人工初乳を与えた。4日齢より仔ウシを2群に分け、10日齢に達するまでの7日間試験区(6頭)にウリジル酸入り代用乳(ウリジル酸2g/日)を、対照区(6頭)に通常の代用乳を給与し、以後、24日齢まで試験区、対照区とも通常の代用乳を給与した。採血は10日齢時に、代用乳給与前後で経時的に実施し、血中グルコース濃度、インスリン濃度、成長ホルモン(GH)濃度を測定した。また、24日齢時に仔ウシを解体・各組織を採取し、腎周囲脂肪組織重量などを測定した。
腎周囲脂肪組織重量が低下し(図1)、胸最長筋脂肪含量の増加(図2)が確認され、それぞれ有意性が見られた。更に、代用乳を給与した際に見られる、血中グルコース濃度の上昇が抑制された(図3)、このことによりインスリン分泌も少なかった(図4)。
(1)内臓脂肪の付着を減少させ、内臓器官の機能を発揮させる。
(2)内臓脂肪の付着を低減させ、代用乳の脂肪から摂取したエネルギーを効率的に利用できるようにする。
(3)胸最長筋の脂肪含量(サシ)を増加させ、肉の風味を改善する。
なお、サシを増加させる効果は、飼料中ビタミンA濃度のコントロールによる方法が実用化されているが、ウリジル酸を併用すれば更に効果が高まる。
内臓の脂肪蓄積を抑制する傾向が見られた(図1、図5)。その際、肝臓機能障害の発生(血中GPT/GOT濃度の変化)は見られなかった(表1)。又、血中成長ホルモン濃度が高い傾向にあった(図6)ことから、仔ウシの健康的な成長を促進する効果が認められた。
Claims (4)
- 他のヌクレオチドとの併用ではなく、ウリジル酸のみを有効成分として含有すること、を特徴とする経口投与医薬品としての家畜の筋肉内脂肪(サシ)増加剤。
- 家畜が、牛、豚、羊、馬、山羊から選ばれる少なくともひとつであること、を特徴とする請求項1に記載の剤。
- 該有効成分が、精製物、粗製物、含有物から選ばれる少なくともひとつであること、を特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の剤。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の医薬品としての筋肉内脂肪(サシ)増加剤を経口投与すること、を特徴とする家畜の筋肉内脂肪(サシ)増加方法。
