Description
その開孔6Baに、カートリッジ受け12への接続により開放される開閉弁13Bが設けられている。この各開閉弁13Bは、開孔6Ba,6Baを開閉可能に閉塞する弁体13Baと、開孔6Baを閉じる方向に弁体13Baを付勢する板バネ13Bb(2つの弁体13Baに対し共通)とにより構成される。インクカートリッジ6Bからインク供給チューブ7Bへインクが供給されると、大気連通管11からインクカートリッジ6Bへ大気が導入され、インクカートリッジ6B内はほぼ大気圧に維持される。なお、2つの弁体13Ba,13Baに対する板バネ13Bb,13Bbを1つの板バネ部材で構成しているが、別々に設けることができるのはいうまでもない。
ト基材に対し、ノズル穴43のインクを噴射する側の開口43aが形成されたノズルプレート基材の表面に、ノズル穴43をマスクした後に撥水膜を形成して、そのノズルプレート基材の表面であって開口43aの周囲に対し複数の突出部51を形成するようにしているが、図6(a)(b)に示すように、インクを噴射するノズル穴43’が未加工のノズルプレート基材に対し、その未加工のノズル穴43’のインクを噴射する側の開口43’aとなる部分が形成されるノズルプレート基材の表面に撥水膜を形成した後に、前記開口43’aとなる部分の周囲に複数の突出部51を形成した後に、複数のノズル穴43’を貫通形成するようにしてもよいのはもちろんである。

Claims (7)
- 液体を噴射する複数のノズル穴が形成されたノズルプレート基材に対し、前記ノズル穴付近で、該ノズル穴の液体を噴射する側の開口が形成されたノズルプレート基材の表面に一定高さの突出部を形成するノズルプレートの製造方法であって、
前記ノズルプレート基材の前記表面に撥水膜を形成し、その撥水膜が形成された前記ノズルプレート基材の前記表面の前記各開口の周囲の複数箇所において、レーザなどの剥離手段で撥水膜を剥離し、
その後、前記剥離部分に液状樹脂からなる液滴を付着させ、
その液滴を硬化させることにより前記突出部を前記開口の周囲に形成し、ノズル面とすることを特徴とするノズルプレートの製造方法。 - 前記複数のノズル穴は、列をなして形成され、
前記突出部は、前記ノズル穴の間に設けられ、
前記突出部は、前記ノズル列方向及びそれに直交する方向に規則的に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のノズルプレートの製造方法。 - 液体を噴射するノズル穴が未加工のノズルプレート基材に対し、該ノズル穴の液体を噴射する側の開口が形成されるべきノズルプレート基材の表面に前記一定高さの突出部を形成するノズルプレートの製造方法であって、
前記ノズルプレート基材の前記表面に撥水膜を形成し、その撥水膜が形成された前記ノズルプレート基材の前記表面であって前記開口となる部分の周囲の複数箇所において、レーザなどの剥離手段で前記撥水膜を剥離し、
その後、前記剥離部分に液状樹脂からなる液滴を付着させ、
その液滴を硬化させることにより前記突出部を前記開口となる部分の周囲に形成し、前記ノズル穴を形成してノズル面とすることを特徴とするノズルプレートの製造方法。 - 前記複数の開口となる部分は、列をなすようにされ、
前記突出部は、前記開口となる部分の間に設けられ、
前記突出部は、ノズル列方向及びそれに直交する方向に規則的に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のノズルプレートの製造方法。 - 前記ノズル面は、前記開口を覆うように中空の吸引キャップが接離可能に接続されるものであり、
前記突出部は、前記吸引キャップが接続される部分を除き形成されることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載のノズルプレートの製造方法。 - 前記液滴の付着は、前記液状樹脂を液滴状に噴射させて前記ノズルプレート基材の前記表面上に印刷することにより行うことを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1つに記載のノズルプレートの製造方法。
- 前記液状樹脂は、紫外線硬化樹脂であり、紫外線の照射により硬化することを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1つに記載のノズルプレートの製造方法。
