Description
フィルタエレメントは、開口のある(開いている)第1フィルタ内部空間を定める外側にある第1管状フィルタ媒体構造物と、開口のある第2フィルタ内部空間を定める内側にある第2管状フィルタ媒体構造物とを含む。前記第2管状フィルタ媒体構造物は前記第1フィルタ内部空間に配置され、前記第1管状フィルタ媒体構造物から半径方向に離れて配置されている。前記第2フィルタ内部空間はろ過していない流体の流路を定めている。プラスチック製のインナーライナーは、前記第1フィルタ内部空間にあって前記第1管状フィルタ媒体構造物を支える。プラスチック製のアウターライナーは、前記第1フィルタ内部空間にあって前記第2管状フィルタ媒体構造物を支える。ろ過した流体の流路は前記インナーライナーと前記アウターライナーとの間に定められいる。バランス具は前記第1管状フィルタ媒体構造物と前記第2管状フィルタ媒体構造物との間に配置されている。
Claims (11)
- フィルタエレメントであって、
(a)開口のある第1フィルタ内部空間を定める外側にある第1管状フィルタ媒体構造物と、
(b)開口のある第2フィルタ内部空間を定める内側にある第2管状フィルタ媒体構造物とを有し、
(i)前記第2管状フィルタ媒体構造物は前記第1フィルタ内部空間に配置され、
(ii)前記第2管状フィルタ媒体構造物は前記第1管状フィルタ媒体構造物から半径方向に離れて配置され、
(iii)前記第2フィルタ内部空間はろ過していない流体の流路を定めており、
(c)前記第1フィルタ内部空間にあって前記第1管状フィルタ媒体構造物を支えるプラスチック製のインナーライナーと、
(d)前記第1フィルタ内部空間にあって前記第2管状フィルタ媒体構造物を支えるプラスチック製のアウターライナーとを有し、
(i)前記インナーライナーと前記アウターライナーとの間にろ過した流体の流路が定められており、
(e)前記第1管状フィルタ媒体構造物と前記第2管状フィルタ媒体構造物との間のバランス具と、
(f)開口のある第1端部キャップと、
(g)開口のある第2端部キャップと、を有し、
(i)前記第1管状フィルタ媒体構造物が前記第1端部キャップと前記第2端部キャップとの間に伸びており、
(h)開口の無い第3端部キャップを有し、
(i)前記第2管状フィルタ媒体構造物は前記第2端部キャップと前記第3端部キャップとの間に伸びていて、
(ii)前記第3端部キャップは前記第1端部キャップから軸方向に離れて配置されており、
(iii)前記バランス具は、前記第1端部キャップと前記第3端部キャップとの間に伸びる複数のガセットを含んでいる、
ことを特徴とするフィルタエレメント。 - (a)前記第2端部キャップは、前記ろ過していない流体の流路と連結する入口開口を定めることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフィルタエレメント。
- (a)前記第1端部キャップは、前記ろ過した流体の流路と連結する出口開口を定めることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のフィルタエレメント。
- (a)前記フィルタエレメントは、少なくとも98%の非金属材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフィルタエレメント。
- (a)前記アウターライナーは0.1インチ未満の厚さを有し、
(b)前記インナーライナーは0.1インチ未満の厚さを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフィルタエレメント。 - 請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のフィルタエレメントを含むフィルタアセンブリであって、
(a)内部空間を定めるハウジングを有し、
(i)前記フィルタエレメントが前記ハウジングの内部空間に操作可能に配置されていることを特徴とするフィルタアセンブリ。 - 前記フィルタエレメントは前記ハウジングの内部にあって取り外し可能でありかつ交換可能であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のフィルタアセンブリ。
- ろ過方法であって、
請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のフィルタエレメントを使用する工程と、
(a)ろ過していない流体を、前記第1の外側の管状媒体構造物を通過してろ過された流体流路に入るように方向づける第1方向付工程と、
(b)ろ過していない流体を、前記第2の内側の管状媒体構造物を通過して前記ろ過された流体流路中に入るように方向づける第2方向付工程と、
(c)前記第1の外側の管状媒体構造物と前記第2の内側の管状媒体構造物とを、前記第1の外側の管状媒体構造物と前記第2の内側の管状媒体構造物との間で非金属の固定具配置構成で支える支持工程と、を有することを特徴とするろ過方法。 - (a)前記ろ過していない流体を前記第2の内側の管状媒体構造物を通過して前記ろ過された流体流路中に入るように方向づける前記第2方向付工程は、ろ過していない流体が端部キャップの開口を通ってろ過していない流体流路に入り、前記第2の内側の管状媒体構造物を通って前記ろ過された流体流路に入ることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のろ過方法。
- (a)流体を、前記ろ過された流体流路から端部キャップ中の開口を通過するように方向付ける工程を更に有することを特徴とする請求項9に記載のろ過方法。
- フィルタエレメントの組立方法であって、
(a)第1フィルタ媒体を選択し、前記第1フィルタ媒体から非金属のインナーライナを持つ第1管状構造物を形成する工程と、
(b)第2フィルタ媒体を選択し、前記第2フィルタ媒体から非金属のアウターライナを持つ第2管状構造物を形成する工程と、
(c)前記第1管状構造物中に前記第2管状構造物を操作可能に配置し、前記第1フィルタ媒体を前記第2フィルタ媒体から半径方向に離して配置する配置工程とを有し、
前記配置工程は、
(i)開口のある第1端部キャップと開口のある第2端部キャップとの間に前記第1管状構造物を固定する工程と、
(ii)前記第1管状構造物と前記第2管状構造物とを前記第2端部キャップに固定する工程と、
(iii)前記第2管状構造物を前記第1端部キャップから軸方向に離れて配置されている第3端部キャップに固定する工程と、を含み、
(d)前記第1管状構造物と前記第2管状構造物との間に非金属のバランス具を提供する提供工程を有することを特徴とするフィルタエレメントの組立方法。
