Claims (9)
- 通信装置であって、
複数のアンテナ素子によるフェーズド・アレイと、
前記フェーズド・アレイに結合され、全方位に送信すべき所望の通信信号に基づいて通信シグナリングを形成するための駆動回路と、
を備え、
前記複数のアンテナ素子は共同して、前記通信シグナリングに応答して前記所望の通信信号のほぼ全方位のアンテナ送信を実現し、
前記駆動回路は複数のアンテナ経路を備え、各アンテナ経路は前記複数のアンテナ素子のうち対応するアンテナ素子にそれぞれ結合されており、前記複数のアンテナ経路はそれぞれ信号結合器を備え、
複数の前記信号結合器は、前記所望の通信信号を、それぞれに対応する確率変数の信号に結合させることを特徴とする通信装置。 - 前記複数のアンテナ素子は、前記ほぼ全方位のアンテナ送信をしている間、ほぼ等しいパワーで送信を実行することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の通信装置。
- 複数の前記信号結合器はそれぞれ、対応する信号乗算器を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の通信装置。
- 複数の前記信号結合器はすべて、前記所望の通信信号に対応する共通の入力信号を受信することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の通信装置。
- 前記確率変数は互いに独立した確率変数であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の通信装置。
- 前記確率変数はガウス変数であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれか1項に記載の通信装置。
- 複数の前記信号結合器はすべて、前記所望の通信信号に対応した周波数ドメインの信号である共通の入力信号を受信し、
前記複数の信号結合器はそれぞれ、前記共通の入力信号を他の周波数ドメインの信号に結合させて、周波数ドメインにおける結合信号を生成し、
複数の前記アンテナ経路はそれぞれ、前記複数の信号結合器のうち対応する信号結合器に結合されたコンバータを備えており、該コンバータは、前記結合信号のうち対応する結合信号を変換して、前記複数のアンテナ素子のうち対応するアンテナ素子を駆動するための対応する時間ドメインの信号を生成するコンバータであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の通信装置。 - 前記複数の信号結合器はそれぞれ信号乗算器を備えることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の通信装置。
- 複数のアンテナ素子によるフェーズド・アレイの動作方法であって、
全方位に送信すべき所望の通信信号に基づいて通信シグナリングを形成するステップと、
前記通信シグナリングを、前記複数のアンテナ素子間で共同で使用して、前記所望の通信信号のほぼ全方位のアンテナ送信を実行するステップと
を含み、
前記全方位に送信すべき所望の通信信号に基づいて通信シグナリングを形成するステップは、
前記複数のアンテナ素子のうち対応するアンテナ素子にそれぞれ結合された複数のアンテナ経路において、前記所望の入力信号を、それぞれに対応する確率変数の信号に結合させるステップを有することを特徴とする動作方法。
