Description
Claims (21)
- 無線ローカルエリアネットワーク(WLAN)信号をマルチモード無線通信装置と交換するように構成されたWLANインターフェースと、
前記マルチモード無線通信装置のアクセスポイントに対する近接性に基づく装置近接メッセージを無線ワイドエリアネットワーク(WWAN)に送信するように構成されたWWANインターフェースと、
前記装置近接メッセージをWWAN信号に基づいて作成するように構成されたコントローラと、を含むアクセスポイント。 - 前記装置近接メッセージは、前記マルチモード無線通信装置にサービスを提供している現在のネットワークとは異なる代替ネットワークから無線サービスの確立要求を含む請求項1のアクセスポイント。
- 前記装置近接メッセージは、前記現在のネットワークからのサービスを終了すべきであることを示す請求項2のアクセスポイント。
- 前記装置近接メッセージは、前記現在のネットワークからのサービスを維持すべきであることを示す請求項2のアクセスポイント。
- 前記現在のネットワークは前記WWANであり、前記代替ネットワークは前記WLANである請求項2のアクセスポイント。
- 前記現在のネットワークは前記WLANであり、前記代替ネットワークは前記WWANである請求項2のアクセスポイント。
- 前記コントローラは、さらに、前記近接性がWLAN近接性閾値より低い場合に前記近接メッセージを作成するように構成される請求項6のアクセスポイント。
- 前記WWANインターフェースは、前記マルチモード通信装置から送信された前記WWAN信号を受信するように構成されたWWAN上り方向受信機を含む請求項2のアクセスポイント。
- 前記コントローラは、さらに、前記WWAN信号の受信電力レベルに基づいて前記装置近接メッセージを作成するように構成される請求項8のアクセスポイント。
- 前記WWANインターフェースは、前記マルチモード無線通信装置用の制御データを含む下り方向WWAN信号を受信するように構成された下り方向受信機をさらに含み、
前記コントローラは、さらに、前記制御データ及び前記WWAN信号の前記受信電力レベルに少なくとも部分的に基づいて、前記装置近接メッセージを作成するように構成される請求項9のアクセスポイント。 - 前記制御データは、電力レベルインジケータを含み、
前記コントローラは、前記マルチモード無線通信装置の前記アクセスポイントに対する近接性を、前記電力レベルインジケータ及び前記WWAN信号の前記受信電力レベルに少なくとも部分的に基づいて特定するように構成される請求項10のアクセスポイント。 - 前記WWAN信号は前記マルチモード無線通信装置で受信され、
前記WLANインターフェースは、さらに、前記マルチモード無線通信装置から前記WWAN信号の状態を示すWWAN状態信号を受信するように構成される請求項1のアクセスポイント。 - 前記WWAN状態信号は、前記WWAN信号の受信電力レベルを示す請求項12のアクセスポイント。
- 前記WLANインターフェースは、さらに、前記WWANから前記マルチモード無線通信装置が受信した制御データを示す制御情報を受信するように構成される請求項13のアクセスポイント。
- 無線ローカルエリアネットワーク(WLAN)信号をマルチモード無線通信装置と交換するように構成されたWLANインターフェースと、
前記マルチモード無線通信装置から送信されたWWAN上り方向(RL)信号を受信するように構成されたWWAN−RL受信機と、
装置近接メッセージを無線ワイドエリアネットワーク(WWAN)に送信するように構成されたWWANインターフェースと、
前記WWAN―RL信号に基づいて前記近接性メッセージを作成するように構成されたコントローラと、を含むアクセスポイント。 - 前記マルチモード無線通信装置に送信され、かつ、RL伝送制御情報を含むWWAN下り方向(FL)信号を受信するように構成されたWWAN−FL受信機をさらに含み、
前記コントローラは、さらに、前記RL伝送制御情報に基づいて前記装置近接メッセージを作成するように構成される請求項15のアクセスポイント。 - 前記RL伝送制御情報は、前記WWAN−RL信号の伝送電力レベルを含み、
前記コントローラは、前記WWAN−RL信号の前記伝送電力レベルと受信電力レベルとの電力差に基づいて前記近接性を特定するように構成される請求項16のアクセスポイント。 - 前記RL伝送制御情報は、前記WWAN−RL信号の伝送時間を含み、
前記コントローラは、前記WWAN−RL信号の前記伝送時間と受信時間との時間差に基づいて前記近接性を特定するように構成される請求項16のアクセスポイント。 - マルチモード無線通信装置と通信するように構成されたアクセスポイントにおいて実行される方法であって、
上り方向(RL)伝送制御情報を含む無線ワイドエリアネットワーク(WWAN)下り方向(FL)信号を受信し、
前記マルチモード無線通信装置からWWAN−RL信号を受信し、
前記RL伝送制御情報及び前記WWAN−RL信号に基づいて前記マルチモード無線通信装置の前記アクセスポイントに対する近接性を特定し、
前記近接性が閾値より低い場合、装置近接メッセージをWWANシステムに送信することを含む方法。 - 前記近接性の前記特定は、前記RL伝送制御情報に含まれるWWAN−RL信号伝送電力レベルと前記WWAN−RL信号の受信電力レベルとの電力差を計算することを含む請求項19の方法。
- 前記近接性の前記特定は、前記RL伝送制御情報に含まれるWWAN−RL信号伝送時間と前記WWAN−RL信号の受信時間との時間差を計算することを含む請求項19の方法。
