と同時に使用時の安全性が高く、相互に連結されるべき椎骨や骨のための動的な安定化装置を構成するために他の部材とできるだけ多様な方法で組み合わせることができる、ばね部材を提供することである。さらに本発明の課題は、このようなばね部材の製造方法を提供することである。
本発明は、ばね部材が、選択的に、弾性的なロッド状の部材を構成するためにさまざまな長さの剛性の高いロッド状の部材と組み合わせ可能であるか、または、弾性的な特性をもつ骨接合ねじを構成するためにさまざまな軸部および/または頭部と組み合わせ可能であるという利点を有している。このような弾性ロッドないし骨接合ねじは、使用するばね部材に応じて、軸方向における特定の圧縮能力・伸張能力といった所定の弾性特性と、特定の曲げ剛性・ねじり剛性とを有することになる。
このばね部材1は、同軸の穴2が貫通する円筒状のパイプと、半径方向で穴2に連通する、事前設定されたピッチで事前設定された長さにわたって円筒軸の方向へ螺旋状に壁部を延びる切欠き3とで構成されている。それによってコイルばねが形成されている。円筒軸の方向における螺旋状の切欠きの長さ、切欠きの高さ、螺旋のピッチ、および同軸の穴の直径は、ばね部材に対して働く軸方向力、曲げ力、およびねじり力に対して、コイルばねの希望する剛性が生じるように選択されている。ばね部材1は、その両方の自由端に接して、事前設定された長さにわたって延びる雌ねじ4,4’をそれぞれ有している。ばね部材の外径はそのつどの用途に応じて選択する。

るねじ127によって相互にねじ止めされた、2つの半体125,131で構成されている。図13aの平面図では、そのうち上側の半体125だけが見えている。上に挙げた両方の半体125,131の間には、ロッド状の部材31が両方の半体の間で、第1の半体125の切欠き132と第2の半体131の切欠き133に挟み込まれており、その結果、骨固定部材128はロッド状の部材31と堅固に結合されている。さらに両方の半体125,131には、組み付け状態のときに同軸の方向を向く穴136ないし137がそれぞれ設けられている。穴136に接して球面状の切欠き138が形成されており、穴137に接して球面状の切欠き139が形成されており、これらの切欠きは、骨接合ねじ126を収容する役目をする。骨接合ねじ126は、骨へねじ込むための雄ねじ152を備える軸部状の区域151と、球面状の切欠き138,139の半径と半径が実質的に等しい球欠状の頭部区域153とを有している。
接合ねじでの利用が挙げられる。ばね部材のさらに別の利用例は、ロッドとの連結をするための単軸骨接合ねじでの利用である。
Claims (17)
- 骨または椎骨のための安定化装置で使用するための弾性部材であって、
第1の端部およびこれと向かい合う第2の端部を備える実質的に円筒体として構成されており、
前記第1の端部と前記第2の端部との間を延在する、連続した同軸の穴を含み、
前記第1および第2の端部のうちの少なくとも1つは、雌ねじを含むか、または骨接合ねじの軸部および/もしくは頭部と結合するため、もしくはロッド区域もしくはプレートと結合するための雄ねじを備える円筒状の付加部のいずれかを含み、
コイルばねの螺旋(202)を形成するよう前記円筒体の壁部に切込みが作られ、前記切込みは、四分円として形状決めされる終端部(203)を有し、四分円の円弧部分が、円筒体の切込みが作られた領域に向くよう形成されている、弾性部材。 - 前記穴には心材が設けられ、
前記心材は、曲げ力に対する弾性部材の剛性を増加させるよう形成され、
さらに前記弾性部材に圧力が及ぼされる場合に、前記弾性部材の変形を規制するストッパとして作用するように形成される、請求項1に記載の弾性部材。 - 両方の端部に雌ねじが設けられていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の弾性部材。
- 前記両方の端部に、骨接合ねじの軸部もしくは頭部と結合するため、ロッド区域と結合するため、またはプレートと結合するための雄ねじを備える円筒状の付加部を有している、請求項1に記載の弾性部材。
- 一方の端部が雌ねじを含み、他方の端部が雄ねじを備える円筒状の付加部を含む、請求項1に記載の弾性部材。
- 前記穴が長さ全体にわたって延びていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の弾性部材。
- 前記円筒体は、
円筒軸の方向へ螺旋状に延びる壁部の切欠きを備えるパイプ状に構成されており、
前記切欠きは半径方向で前記穴に連通していることを特徴とする、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項に記載の弾性部材。 - 前記弾性部材が生体適合材料またはチタンで構成されている、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項に記載の弾性部材。
- 請求項1から8までのいずれか1項に記載の弾性部材と、
前記弾性部材の一方の端部と結合される骨接合ねじ山を備える軸部と、
前記弾性部材の他方の端部と結合される骨接合ねじの端部片とを備えている骨固定部材。 - 2つの骨固定部材を連結するためのロッド状の部材であって、
請求項1から8までのいずれか1項に記載の弾性部材と、
前記弾性部材の一方の端部と結合される剛性の高い第1のロッド区域とを備えているロッド状の部材。 - 剛性の高い第2のロッド区域が前記弾性部材の他方の端部と結合されることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載のロッド状の部材。
- 2つの骨固定部材を連結するための連結部材であって、
請求項1から8までのいずれか1項に記載の弾性部材と、
前記弾性部材に接続された、骨固定部材が固定されるプレートとを備え、
前記プレートは、その少なくとも一方の端部に、前記弾性部材の前記雌ねじに接続される雄ねじを備えるか、または、前記弾性部材の前記雄ねじに接合される雌ねじのある穴を備える、円筒状の付加部を備えている、連結部材。 - 請求項1から8の1つに記載の弾性部材を製造する方法において、
(a)第1および第2の端部を備える円筒体を準備するステップと、
(b)前記円筒体の主軸に対して同軸に、少なくとも前記円筒体の第1の端部に接する穴を形成するステップと、
(c)ワイヤ放電加工、レーザ加工、またはウォータージェット加工により前記円筒体の主軸に対して同軸な螺旋に沿って切欠きを刻設するステップとを含み、当該螺旋状の切欠きの2つの終端部は四分円の形で設けられ、前記方法はさらに、
(d)前記ステップ(a)で準備された円筒体の事前設定された外径よりも短い直径をもつ円筒状の付加部を切削加工である旋削により形成し、前記円筒体の第1の端部の円筒状の付加部の表面に雄ねじを形成するか、または、前記円筒体の第1の端部に接する区域に前記ステップ(b)で形成された穴に雌ねじを形成するステップとを備えている方法。 - 前記ステップ(b)で形成される穴は前記円筒体の第1の端部から第2の端部まで延びている、請求項13に記載の方法。
- (e)前記円筒体の第2の端部に接する区域に前記ステップ(b)で形成された穴に雌ねじを形成するステップをさらに備えている、請求項14に記載の方法。
- (e)円筒体の事前設定された外径よりも短い直径をもつ第2の円筒状の付加部を切削加工である旋削により形成し、前記円筒体の第2の端部の第2の円筒状の付加部の表面に雄ねじを形成するステップをさらに備えている、請求項13または14に記載の方法。
- 請求項1から8の1つに記載の弾性部材を製造する方法において、
(a)第1および第2の端部を備える円筒体を準備するステップと、
(b)前記ステップ(a)で準備された円筒体の事前設定された外径よりも短い直径をもつ円筒状の付加部を切削加工である旋削により形成し、前記円筒体の第1の端部および第2の端部の円筒状の付加部の表面に雄ねじを形成するステップと、
(c)ワイヤ放電加工、レーザ加工、またはウォータージェット加工により前記円筒体の主軸に対して同軸な螺旋に沿って切欠きを刻設するステップとを備え、当該螺旋状の切欠きの2つの終端部は四分円の形で設けられる、方法。
