Description
本発明の実施の形態におけるチューブ型燃料電池セル100は、図1のチューブ延伸方向に沿った断面図に示すように、内部電極30、第1の触媒層32、電解質層34、第2の触媒層36、外部コイル38、樹脂シール40及びスペーサ42を含んで構成される。図2及び図3に、図1のB−Bライン及びC−Cラインに沿った断面図を示す。図2及び図3に示すように、チューブ型燃料電池セル100は、内部電極30、第1の触媒層32、電解質層34及び第2の触媒層36を内側から順に略同軸円筒状に積層して構成されている。
以下、本実施の形態におけるチューブ型燃料電池セル100をモジュール化した構成について説明する。図5は、チューブ型燃料電池セル100をモジュール化した燃料電池モジュール200の構成を示す断面図である。図5では、説明を明確にするために、チューブ型燃料電池セル100の左半図を断面図及び右半図を外観図として表している。
次に、燃料電池モジュール200の作用について説明する。燃料電池の作動時には、燃料ガス供給口50aから燃料ガス供給室50を介して各チューブ型燃料電池セル100の内部電極30内へ燃料ガスが供給される。それと共に、酸化剤ガス供給口54aから酸化剤室54へ酸化剤ガスが供給される。供給側シール部56及び排出側シール部58によって、燃料ガスと酸化剤ガスとは互いに混じり合うことなく燃料電池モジュール200内を流れる。
図6及び図7に、本実施の形態の変形例におけるチューブ型燃料電池セル102,104の断面図を示す。本変形例では、外部コイル38の一部を第2の触媒層36の外周面に巻き付けられた外部コイル38の外周径bよりも大きな外周径aを有するように巻き付けることによってスペーサ42とする。例えば、図6及び図7に示すように、第2の触媒層36の外周面に巻き付けられた外部コイル38の端部をさらに樹脂シール40の外周面に巻き付けることによってスペーサ42を構成する。
Claims (4)
- 導電性を有する筒形状の内部電極と、
前記内部電極の外周面に順に積層された第1の触媒層、電解質層及び第2の触媒層と、
前記第2の触媒層の外周面に巻き付けられた導電性を有する外部コイルと、
を備えるチューブ型燃料電池セルであって、
前記外部コイルの外周径よりも大きな外周径を有する導電型のスペーサを備え、
前記スペーサは、中空部を有する円柱又は多角柱の形状を有する導電性部材であることを特徴とするチューブ型燃料電池セル。 - 導電性を有する筒形状の内部電極と、
前記内部電極の外周面に順に積層された第1の触媒層、電解質層及び第2の触媒層と、
前記第2の触媒層の外周面に巻き付けられた導電性を有する外部コイルと、
を備えるチューブ型燃料電池セルであって、
前記外部コイルの外周径よりも大きな外周径を有する導電型のスペーサを備え、
前記スペーサは、前記外部コイルの外周径よりも大きな外周径となるように巻かれた導電性のコイルであることを特徴とするチューブ型燃料電池セル。 - 請求項1又は2に記載のチューブ型燃料電池セルにおいて、
前記スペーサは、前記外部コイルと電気的に接続されていることを特徴とするチューブ型燃料電池セル。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のチューブ型燃料電池セルを複数備える燃料電池モジュールであって、
前記スペーサの外周面同士が接触するように前記複数のチューブ型燃料電池セルを並べてなることを特徴とする燃料電池モジュール。
