Claims (5)
- 制動システムと、
被駆動側及び駆動側にそれぞれカムシャフト及びクランクシャフトが接続された多段ギヤ機構と
を備え、カムシャフトタイミングを調整するために、前記多段ギヤ機構が駆動側のエネルギーの一部を前記制動システムへ伝達するよう構成され、
前記制動システムが摩擦式の制動システムとして構成されているとともに、必要な制動力が連続的に滑り状態にある摩擦ライニングによって発生され、
前記制動システムが電磁式の摩擦制動システムとして構成されている
カムシャフトタイミング調整装置において、
前記制動システムを、摩擦面(8)を備えた電気的に制御可能な切換用コイル(1)、前記多段ギヤ機構(7)の駆動側部材(5)に係合する係止突起(6)及びバネ(3)を含んで構成し、
前記摩擦ライニング(2)を前記多段ギヤ機構(7)におけるサンギヤ(4)に固着しつつ軸方向に摺動可能に構成し、
前記切換用コイル(1)に通電していない場合には前記サンギヤ(4)を前記バネ(3)の付勢力により前記摩擦ライニング(2)及び前記係止突起(6)を介して前記多段ギヤ機構(7)の駆動側部材(5)と係合させるとともに、前記切換用コイル(1)に通電している場合には前記摩擦ライニング(2)に対して発生する電磁力により該摩擦ライニング(2)の摩擦面を前記切換用コイル(1)における前記摩擦面(8)と当接させ、前記切換用コイル(1)により発生する制動トルクを、前記サンギヤ(4)を介して前記多段ギヤ機構(7)に伝達するよう構成したことを特徴とするカムシャフトタイミング調整装置。 - 前記摩擦ライニング(2)に油を貫流させるとともに、油の貫流を前記摩擦ライニング(2)の外側又は中央部から行うことを特徴とする請求項1記載のカムシャフトタイミング調整装置。
- 前記摩擦ライニング(2)を、突起を備えた紙製のライニング又はカーボンライニングとしたことを特徴とする請求項2記載のカムシャフトタイミング調整装置。
- 制動トルクを流体力学的な滑り軸受面に発生させるとともに、該制動トルクを前記摩擦ライニング(2)の油膜におけるせん断力によって調整するよう構成したことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のカムシャフトタイミング調整装置。
- 前記多段ギヤ機構(7)を、遊星歯車機構又は2つのサンギヤ及び1つの2段式プラネタリギヤとしたことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のカムシャフトタイミング調整装置。
