Description
「特許文献3」に記載の技術は、有機EL表示装置の有機EL層を構成する有機EL材料を水分捕捉剤として使用する構成が記載されている。「特許文献3」に記載の技術はこの水分捕捉剤を、発光する有機EL層と重畳して形成している。したがって、有機EL層からの発光の取り出し効率が低下する。また、有機EL層と同じ成分では、十分な水分の捕捉効果を有しない場合がある。
Claims (13)
- 上部電極と下部電極によって挟持された有機EL層を有する画素がマトリクス状に形成された表示領域を有する素子基板が、封止基板によって封止され、画像は前記封止基板側に形成されるトップエミッション型有機EL表示装置であって、
前記有機EL層は電子輸送層と発光層とホール輸送層を含み、前記電子輸送層は、有機材料とアルカリ金属またはアルカリ土類金属の共蒸着で形成され、
前記電子輸送層を形成する材料と同じ材料で、かつ、前記アルカリ金属または前記アルカリ土類金属の組成比が、前記電子輸送層よりも大きい共蒸着層からなる乾燥剤が前記発光層とは重複せずに設置されていることを特徴とするトップエミッション型有機EL表示装置。 - 前記共蒸着層からなる乾燥剤の前記アルカリ金属あるいは前記アルカリ土類金属の組成比は、前記電子輸送層の前記アルカリ金属あるいは前記アルカリ土類金属の組成比よりも50%以上大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のトップエミッション型有機EL表示装置。

前記電子輸送層を形成する材料と同じ材料で、かつ、前記セシウムの組成比が前記電子輸送層よりも大きい共蒸着層からなる乾燥剤が前記発光層とは重複せずに設置されていることを特徴とするトップエミッション型有機EL表示装置。 - 前記共蒸着層からなる乾燥剤の前記セシウムの組成比は、前記電子輸送層の前記セシウムの組成比よりも50%以上大きいことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のトップエミッション型有機EL表示装置。
- 前記共蒸着層からなる乾燥剤の前記セシウムの組成比は、前記電子輸送層の前記セシウムの組成比よりも100%以上大きいことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のトップエミッション型有機EL表示装置。
- 前記共蒸着層からなる乾燥剤の前記セシウムの組成量は、0.225g/cm3以上であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のトップエミッション型有機EL表示装置。
