Description
以下、本発明の第1実施形態を、図面を参照しながら説明する。図1は本実施形態が適用された内燃機関における吸気装置の要部を示す模式図である。図示例の内燃機関は例えば直列5気筒エンジンある。
次に図9〜図11を参照して、本発明の第2実施形態について説明する。図9は、本実施形態にかかる第1吸気制御弁および第2吸気制御弁の制御要領を示すフロー図である。図10は、エンジン回転数の上昇に伴う、第1吸気制御弁の有効開度に相当する空気量と、目標吸入空気量との関係を表すタイムチャートであり、図における目標吸入空気量および有効開度相当吸入空気量は1気筒あたりの吸入空気量を表している。図11は、エンジン回転数の上昇に伴う、第1吸気制御弁の有効開度に対する実開度の挙動を表すタイムチャートである。

Claims (6)
- 第1吸気通路と、前記第1吸気通路を通過する吸入空気量を制御する第1吸気制御弁と、前記第1吸気通路における前記第1吸気制御弁の上流と下流とに連通する第2吸気通路と、前記第2吸気通路を通過する吸入空気量を制御する第2吸気制御弁とを備え、前記第1吸気制御弁の開度が所定値に達した時に前記第2吸気制御弁を順次開くようにした内燃機関の吸気装置において、
前記第1吸気制御弁の開度の変化に対する前記第1吸気通路を流れる吸入空気量の変化が所定の割合以下となり、吸入空気量がサチュレート状態となる開度を所定有効開度とし、
前記内燃機関の回転数に応じて前記所定有効開度を算出し、前記第1吸気制御弁が前記所定有効開度または前記所定有効開度よりも小さい判定開度まで開弁したとき、前記第2吸気制御弁を開弁する制御手段を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の吸気装置。 - 第1吸気通路と、前記第1吸気通路を通過する吸入空気量を制御する第1吸気制御弁と、前記第1吸気通路における前記第1吸気制御弁の上流と下流とに連通する第2吸気通路と、前記第2吸気通路を通過する吸入空気量を制御する第2吸気制御弁とを備え、前記第1吸気制御弁の開度が所定値に達した時に前記第2吸気制御弁を順次開くようにした内燃機関の吸気装置において、
前記第1吸気制御弁の開度の変化に対する前記第1吸気通路を流れる吸入空気量の変化が所定の割合以下となり、吸入空気量がサチュレート状態となる開度を所定有効開度とし、
目標吸入空気量を算出する手段と、前記内燃機関の回転数に応じて前記所定有効開度を算出する手段と、前記第1吸気制御弁が前記所定有効開度であり且つ前記第2吸気制御弁が全閉相当開度である場合の仮定吸入空気量を算出する手段と、前記目標吸入空気量が前記仮定吸入空気量を超えているか判定する第1判定手段と、前記第1吸気制御弁の開度が前記所定有効開度または前記所定有効開度よりも小さい第1判定開度以上か判定する第2判定手段と、前記第1判定手段および前記第2判定手段の双方が肯定された場合に前記第2吸気制御弁の開弁を許可する許可判定手段と、
前記許可判定後に、前記目標吸入空気量が前記仮定吸入空気量以下となり、かつ、前記第1吸気制御弁の開度が前記所定有効開度または前記所定有効開度よりも小さい第2判定開度未満となる取消条件が成立するまで前記許可判定を継続し、前記取消条件成立後に前記許可判定を取り消す許可取消手段と、を備える内燃機関の吸気装置。 - 前記内燃機関は複数の気筒を備えており、
前記第2吸気制御弁は各気筒ごとに備えられた多連スロットル弁であり、
前記第1吸気制御弁は単一のスロットル弁である、ことを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の内燃機関の吸気装置。 - 前記所定有効開度は前記内燃機関の回転数の上昇に伴い大きくする、ことを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか1つの項に記載の内燃機関の吸気装置。
- 前記第2吸気制御弁が開弁している間、前記第1吸気制御弁は前記所定有効開度に制御され、前記内燃機関の回転数の変化に応じて前記所定有効開度を変化させることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項4のいずれか1つの項に記載の内燃機関の吸気装置。
- 前記第2吸気制御弁が全閉相当開度まで閉弁したとき、前記第1吸気制御弁を前記所定有効開度よりも閉弁側に駆動する制御手段をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜請求項5のいずれか1つの項に記載の内燃機関の吸気装置。
