Hereinafter, a display device, particularly a liquid crystal display device according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
As shown in FIG. 1, the liquid crystal display device includes a liquid
In the
The switching element 7 is composed of a thin film transistor (TFT) or the like. The
The

For example, the scanning line driving unit 11Y outputs a driving signal to the odd-numbered scanning lines Y (1, 3, 5,...) And the even-numbered scanning lines Y (2, 4, 6). ,... May include a second drive unit 11Y2 that outputs a drive signal. The first drive unit 11Y1 and the second drive unit 11Y2 are respectively disposed on both sides of the signal
のそれぞれに接続された配線W(1、3、5、…) を介して対応する奇数番走査線Y(1、3、5、…)
More specifically, the first driving unit 11Y1 is electrically connected to the odd-numbered scanning lines Y (1, 3, 5,...) Via the
のそれぞれに接続された配線W(2、4、6、…) を介して対応する偶数番走査線Y(2、4、6、…)
The second driving unit 11Y2 is electrically connected to the even-numbered scanning lines Y (2, 4, 6,...) Via the
Further, the
As shown in FIG. 1, the
As shown in FIG. 2, the

That is, the

Each signal line X (1, 2,... N), each
According to the liquid crystal display device having the above-described configuration, the drive signal is supplied to the odd-numbered scan lines in the layout in which the drive signals can be supplied to the odd-numbered scan lines and the even-numbered scan lines from both ends of the effective display section. The inspection signal can be input to the first wiring constituting the first wiring group for the second wiring group and the second wiring constituting the second wiring group for supplying the drive signal to the even-numbered scanning line. In contrast, an inspection signal can be input. For this reason, it is possible to reliably detect a wiring defect on the panel such as a short circuit between the wirings in the first wiring group or a disconnection of each wiring, and a short circuit between the wirings in the second wiring group or a disconnection of each wiring. It becomes possible.

The first metal layer M1 is, for example, a metal layer that forms the scanning line Y, and is formed of a metal material such as molybdenum (Mo) / tungsten (W). The third metal layer M3 is, for example, a metal layer that forms the pixel electrode 8, and is formed of a metal material such as indium tin oxide (ITO).

As shown in FIG. 3, the
In the example shown in FIG. 4, the first wiring pattern WP1 is formed on the first metal layer M1, the second wiring pattern WP2 is formed on the second metal layer M2, and the third wiring pattern WP3 is formed on the third metal layer M3. Note that the first wiring pattern WP1 and the second wiring pattern WP2 are not limited to the example shown in FIG. 4, and both of them are on the same metal layer (that is, either the first metal layer M1 or the second metal layer M2). They may be formed, or both may be formed on different metal layers (that is, one may be formed on the first metal layer M1 and the other may be formed on the second metal layer M2).

The contact portion C1 of the first wiring pattern WP1 is exposed from the

The third wiring pattern WP3 is individually disposed in each opening AP of the
Further, the opening AP of the

In the
When the third metal layer M3 is patterned after the
That is, as shown in FIG. 6A, after forming the
Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 6C, when the third metal layer M3 is etched using the resist 140 as a mask, the third metal layer M3 remains along the edge APE. That is, the third wiring pattern WP3 formed by patterning the third metal layer M3 is connected along the edge APE. In short, as shown in FIG. 5, the adjacent third wiring pattern WP3 becomes conductive, and a short circuit occurs between the bridge structures of the adjacent inspection wirings.
As described above, according to this embodiment, in the array substrate including the inspection wiring portion, the inspection wiring is damaged by the planarizing film arranged in an island shape so as to cover the inspection wiring portion. It is possible to prevent the adhesion of conductive foreign matter between adjacent inspection wirings.
In addition, the inspection wiring section has a bridge structure inspection wiring in which the first wiring pattern and the second wiring pattern arranged in the same layer or different layers are electrically connected by a third wiring pattern of a layer different from these. The bridge structure of each inspection wiring is formed corresponding to the opening formed individually in the planarizing film. That is, the bridge structure of the adjacent inspection wiring is partitioned by the planarizing film. For this reason, even if the patterning failure of the third wiring pattern occurs in the opening, the adjacent bridge structure does not conduct and it is possible to prevent a short circuit between the inspection wirings. Further, since the third wiring pattern is arranged without going through the edge of the planarizing film or the contact hole, it is difficult to be affected by the unevenness of the arranged area. For this reason, it becomes possible to prevent disconnection of the third wiring pattern.
Accordingly, it is possible to stably inspect wiring defects of various wirings on the display panel using the inspection wiring section. For this reason, it is possible to prevent the wiring defect from flowing out to the subsequent process. As a result, it is possible to suppress a decrease in manufacturing yield.
