BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a game device, a game control program, and a recording medium storing the program, and more particularly to action control of each character in a battle scene of a role playing game.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In the battle scene of the role playing game, a player character that can be controlled by the game player and an enemy character that cannot be controlled by the game player are displayed on the display screen, and the player uses a predetermined input device (hereinafter referred to as a controller). The game progresses by inputting a control signal to control the action of the player character. The battle ends when the player character or enemy character is annihilated. Therefore, it is necessary for the player to assemble the attack of the player character so as to quickly deal more damage to the enemy character.
[0003]
Regardless of the player character or enemy character, the amount of damage that a character can give to the opponent by an attack is usually the type of attack, the level of the character, the ability value such as quickness, weapons and items possessed , Standing position at the time of battle, the level of the opponent, ability value, armor and items you have, standing position and so on. That is, generally, the higher the level and ability, and the stronger the attack with a powerful weapon, the greater the damage to the opponent, and the player can predict the magnitude of the damage to some extent.
[0004]
However, in many games, by adding an incidental effect to the effects of such an attack, an unexpected result is produced for the player, and the battle scene is prevented from becoming monotonous. Yes. For example, an attack that normally deals 100 damage may change to an attack that causes 200 damage at a rate of once every several times or depending on the timing of button operation by the player. That is, even if the player intends to perform the same control, the result may be different. The attack from the enemy character is the same, and the player may have received twice or three times as much damage as usual even though he predicted that he would not receive much damage even if attacked.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An unexpected effect is preferable in that the battle scene is not monotonous. In some cases, however, the strategies that have been set up may be wasted due to the unexpected effects.
[0006]
For example, there are cases where the player character has fewer remaining physical strength points, and is forced to choose whether to recover the physical strength points using recovery-type magic, or to continue the attack. At this time, it is assumed that the enemy character is low and the latter is selected with the expectation that there will be little damage even if attacked. Under this circumstance, if the damage caused by the attack of the enemy character is doubled as usual, the player character may be defeated against the player's expectation.
[0007]
Even if an accidental effect occurs favorably for the player character, the player is not always pleased. For example, in a situation where an enemy character can be defeated if another 200 damages are applied, the player causes one player character to attack with about 120 damage and another player character to attack with about 100 damage. Suppose you have made a strategy to defeat enemy characters. At this time, it is assumed that the attack of the player character who has attacked first brings about 1.5 times the effect of the usual attack and has caused 180 damage to the enemy. In this case, although the enemy can be defeated by the attack of the next player character, there is a complaint that the second player character has made a more powerful attack than necessary and wasted stamina points. Remain.
[0008]
Therefore, according to the present invention, when an unusual effect is generated on the character's action, the information is provided to the player in advance, and the player can use the information to make a strategy.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The game device of the present invention displays a player character and an enemy character on a display screen, and controls the action of each character based on a control signal input from the input device, whereby a battle between the player character and the enemy character is performed. A game device that advances a scene,

And an effect notice means.
[0010]
The effect notice means is preferably means for displaying on the screen the action order of each player character and / or enemy character and the correspondence between the action order and the accompanying effects. In addition, action order change means for changing the action order of the player character and / or enemy character is further provided, and the effect notice means corrects and redisplays the content of the notice display according to the change by the action order change means. Is preferred.
[0011]
The accompanying effect determining means can be a means for randomly selecting an accompanying effect generated by the accompanying effect generating means from a plurality of types of accompanying effects. Alternatively, a plurality of types of accompanying effects arranged in a predetermined order may be sequentially assigned to each player character and / or enemy character. Or it is good also as a means which makes the player of a game select the accompanying effect produced | generated by an accompanying effect generation means. Alternatively, as a means for selecting the accompanying effect generated by the accompanying effect generating means based on the characteristic parameter value possessed by the player character and / or the enemy character to which the accompanying effect is given from a plurality of types of accompanying effects. Also good. Furthermore, it can be considered that the accompanying effect generated by the accompanying effect generating means is a means for selecting from a plurality of types of accompanying effects according to the flow of the game.
[0012]
Next, the game control program of the present invention displays the player character and the enemy character on the display screen, and controls the action of each character based on the control signal input from the input device. It is characterized by causing a computer to execute an effect notice process.
[0013]
The effect notice process is preferably a process of displaying on the screen the action order of each player character and / or enemy character, the action order, the associated effect, and the association. In addition, the computer further executes an action order changing process for changing the action order of the player character and / or enemy character, and in the effect notice process, the content of the notice display is corrected according to the change by the action order changing process, It is preferable to display.
[0014]
The incidental effect determination process may be a process of randomly selecting an incidental effect to be generated in the incidental effect generation process from a plurality of types of incidental effects. Alternatively, it may be a process of sequentially assigning a plurality of types of accompanying effects arranged in a predetermined order to each player character and / or enemy character. Or it is good also as a process which makes the player of a game select the accompanying effect generated in an accompanying effect generation process. [0027]
Since the feature of the present invention is mainly in the processing of step S101 and step S102, these processing will be described in detail below. In addition, about the process of step S103 and the process of step S104, it can implement | achieve using a well-known processing method.
[0028]
In the incidental effect determination processing in step S101, for example, the following method can be considered as a method for determining the association between the action order and the incidental effect. FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating an example of association between an action order and an accompanying effect. FIG. 4A shows a method of assigning randomly selected from the four accompanying effects A, B, C, and D as the accompanying effects corresponding to each action order. That is, this is a method of performing an arithmetic process using a random function and randomly assigning the accompanying effects in the order of each action.
[0029]
FIG. 4B is a diagram in which the four incidental effects A, B, C, and D are repeatedly generated in a fixed order. That is, the accompanying effects A to D are associated with the
[0030]
FIG. 4C shows a method in which the player presets accompanying effects that occur in each action order. The incidental effect is set by the player calling a predetermined setting screen before entering the battle scene. On the setting screen, the player can determine the association, for example, effect A for
[0031]
Further, instead of selecting at random as shown in FIG. 4A, there is a method of selecting an accompanying effect based on the value of the characteristic parameter possessed by the character. Here, the characteristic parameters possessed by the character include parameters that are normally displayed as numerical values such as the character level, as well as skills that can be used, types of magic, weapons possessed, items, and the like. For example, an accompanying effect given to a character who is good at magic is selected from the accompanying effects that influence the influence of magic, and an accompanying effect that increases the power of the weapon is excluded from the selection target. Alternatively, a method of assigning a special incidental effect that can be given only to the use of the weapon to a character possessing a special weapon having a high rare value is conceivable.
[0032]
Furthermore, a method of allocating incidental effects according to the game flow is also conceivable. According to the flow of the game, for example, it is assigned depending on the place and time of entry into the battle (time in the game story), the situation at the time of entry into the battle, whether or not a predetermined character was a friend at the time of entry into the battle, etc. It is to make the incidental effect different. For example, when the types of enemy characters that appear differ depending on the location (cave, plain, etc.), a method of selecting and allocating only effects suitable for the battle with enemy characters appearing at that location can be considered. Alternatively, there may be a method of assigning different incidental effects depending on whether the player character is actively fighting or if the player character is caught by an enemy character and enters the battle. Furthermore, the incidental effect to be assigned may be varied depending on whether or not the predetermined problem has been solved at the time of entering the battle. For example, the method of assigning different effects depending on whether or not the player character has a conversation with the character holding the story development key before entering the battle, or whether or not a predetermined switch or button arranged in the game scene is pressed And so on. Since there are various patterns in the flow until entering the battle, it is difficult to list all of them, but it is obvious to those skilled in the art that various other methods are possible.
[0033]
In this embodiment, the character and the accompanying effect are not directly associated with each other, but the action order is associated with the accompanying effect as shown in FIGS. The action order and the character are separately stored in a table as shown in FIG. That is, the association between the character and the accompanying effect is derived from the association between the action order and the accompanying effect shown in FIG. 4 and the association between the action order and the character shown in FIG. However, this is only to make it possible to flexibly cope with a change in the action order of the character. Therefore, when the action order changing function is not provided, it goes without saying that the character and the accompanying effect may be directly associated with each other and stored. In addition, it is clear that any association other than the methods shown in FIGS. 4A to 4C is possible, and all such associations are included in the present invention.
[0034]
Next, the effect notice process in step S102 of FIG. 3 will be described. FIG. 6 is a diagram showing an example of an output screen of the program of the present invention, showing a battle scene by three

Further, the present invention exerts further effects when the action order of the character can be changed. FIG. 8 is a flowchart showing a process when an action order changing function during a battle is added to the battle scene control process shown in FIG. In step S103, when the player designates a change in the action order of the character, the process returns to step S102 to re-notify the contents of the accompanying effect.

[0051]
Although one embodiment of the present invention has been described above, there are many other similar processing methods for the incidental effect determination process in step S101 and the effect notice process in step S102 in FIGS. .
[0052]
For example, the types of accompanying effects can be variously arranged in accordance with the types of control parameters defined by the game, the story of the game, and the like. In addition to the example shown in FIG. 4, the association between the action order and the accompanying effects is basically a repetition of effects A, B, C, and D as shown in FIG. 4B, for example. On the other hand, there is a method in which the incidental effect X, which is very valuable for the player, is inserted at a rate of once every 1000 times. Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 4 (c), instead of letting the player set for each action order, a variety of effect notice drums are prepared so that the player can exchange the drums according to his / her preference. Good.
[0053]
In addition to the notice method as in the above embodiment, the effect notice process includes a method of displaying a number indicating the order of action of each character and the accompanying effect around the head of each character. It is done. Or you may display only the mark showing the content of the accompanying effect around the head of each character. That is, any display method may be used as long as the player can know in advance the content of the accompanying effect that occurs during the action of the character.
[0054]
【Effect of the invention】
According to the game device, the game control program of the present invention, and the recording medium on which the program is recorded, the content of the incidental effect that occurs incidentally when controlling the action of the character is displayed on the screen in advance. It is possible to determine the action of each player character after knowing that an accompanying effect occurs. In this case, each player character causes damage to the enemy as expected by the player, or brings benefits as expected to the ally, so the strategy developed by the player is caused by incidental effects that occur accidentally. The player who is not wasted and who is looking forward to the assembly of the strategy can be fully satisfied.
[0055]
In addition, when displaying the accompanying effect in advance, the character's action order is displayed instead of directly associating the character with the accompanying effect, and further, the association between the action order and the accompanying effect is displayed. For example, the player can formulate a strategy taking into account both the order of actions of the character and the accompanying effects, and thus the range of the strategy can be expanded.
[0056]
Further, if a means for changing the action order of the character is provided so as to display a notice in accordance with the changed contents, the player is given a preferable accompanying effect to the player character, and an undesirable accompanying effect is given to the enemy character. The order of actions can be adjusted as given.
