Claims (11)
- 第一の出力信号を生成する第一のメディアアクセスコントローラと、
第二の出力信号を生成する第二のメディアアクセスコントローラと、
前記第一のメディアアクセスコントローラおよび前記第二のメディアアクセスコントローラの優先関係に基づいて、前記第一の出力信号および前記第二の出力信号のいずれかを選択するアービトレーション回路と、
選択された前記第一の出力信号および前記第二の出力信号のいずれかを送信し、且つ、クリアチャネルアセスメント信号を生成する物理層モジュールと
を備え、
前記アービトレーション回路は、前記クリアチャネルアセスメント信号に基づいて、前記第一の出力信号および前記第二の出力信号のそれぞれがいつ生成されるかを決定する第一のクリアチャネルアセスメント信号および第二のクリアチャネルアセスメント信号を生成し、
前記第一のメディアアクセスコントローラは第一の出力キューを含み、
前記第二のメディアアクセスコントローラは第二の出力キューを含み、
前記アービトレーション回路は、第一のドロップ信号および第二のドロップ信号を選択的に生成し、
前記第一のメディアアクセスコントローラおよび前記第二のメディアアクセスコントローラは、対応する前記第一のドロップ信号および前記第二のドロップ信号に応じて、対応する前記第一の出力キューおよび前記第二の出力キューをフラッシュする、無線ネットワークデバイス。 - 選択信号に従って前記第一の出力信号および前記第二の出力信号のいずれかを前記物理層モジュールにルーティングするスイッチをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の無線ネットワークデバイス。
- 前記第一のメディアアクセスコントローラおよび前記第二のメディアアクセスコントローラは、前記アービトレーション回路に伝達される第一の要求信号および第二の要求信号をそれぞれ生成し、
前記第一の要求信号は前記第一のメディアアクセスコントローラが前記第一の出力信号を生成することを要求していることを示し、前記第二の要求信号は前記第二のメディアアクセスコントローラが前記第二の出力信号を生成することを要求していることを示す、請求項1に記載の無線ネットワークデバイス。 - 前記アービトレーション回路は、前記第一のメディアアクセスコントローラに伝達される第一のドロップ信号を生成し、前記第二のメディアアクセスコントローラに伝達される第二のドロップ信号を生成し、
前記第一のメディアアクセスコントローラは前記第一の出力信号を介して出力されるデータの出力キューを含み、前記第二のメディアアクセスコントローラは前記第二の出力信号を介して出力されるデータの出力キューを含み、
前記第一のメディアアクセスコントローラは前記第一のドロップ信号を受信すると自身の出力キューからデータをフラッシュし、前記第二のメディアアクセスコントローラは前記第二のドロップ信号を受信すると自身の出力キューからデータをフラッシュする、請求項3に記載の無線ネットワークデバイス。 - 前記物理層モジュールは、電気電子学会(IEEE)規格802.11、802.11a、802.11b、802.11g、802.11h、802.11n、802.16、および802.20、並びにブルートゥース特別利益団体(SIG)が発行するブルートゥース規格のうち少なくともいずれかに準拠する、請求項1に記載の無線ネットワークデバイス。
- 無線ネットワークデバイスにおいて送信信号を生成する方法であって、
第一の無線ネットワークプロトコルに従って第一の出力信号を生成する第一のメディアアクセスコントローラを供給する工程と、
第二の無線ネットワークプロトコルに従って第二の出力信号を生成する第二のメディアアクセスコントローラを供給する工程と、
前記第一のメディアアクセスコントローラおよび前記第二のメディアアクセスコントローラの優先関係に基づいて、前記第一の出力信号および前記第二の出力信号のいずれかを選択する工程と、
選択された前記第一の出力信号および前記第二の出力信号のいずれかを、共通の送信機を利用して送信する工程と、
クリアチャネルアセスメント信号を生成する工程と、
前記クリアチャネルアセスメント信号に基づいて、前記第一の出力信号および前記第二の出力信号のそれぞれがいつ生成されるかを決定する第一のクリアチャネルアセスメント信号および第二のクリアチャネルアセスメント信号を生成する工程と、
前記第一の出力信号に含まれるべきデータの第一の出力キューを保持し、前記第二の出力信号に含まれるべきデータの第二の出力キューを保持する工程と、
選択的に第一のドロップ信号および第二のドロップ信号を生成する工程と、
前記第一のドロップ信号および前記第二のドロップ信号に応じて、対応する前記第一の出力キューおよび前記第二の出力キューをフラッシュする工程と
を備える方法。 - 選択信号を生成する工程と、
前記選択信号に従って前記第一の出力信号および前記第二の出力信号のいずれかを前記共通の送信機にルーティングする工程と
を更に備える請求項6に記載の方法。 - 前記第一の出力信号および前記第二の出力信号に対応する第一の要求信号および第二の要求信号を生成する工程を更に備え、
前記第一の要求信号および前記第二の要求信号は、それぞれ前記第一の要求信号および前記第二の要求信号の生成を要求する請求項6に記載の方法。 - 前記送信する工程は、電気電子学会(IEEE)規格802.11、802.11a、802.11b、802.11g、802.11h、802.11n、802.16、および802.20、並びにブルートゥース特別利益団体(SIG)が発行するブルートゥース規格のうち少なくともいずれかに準拠する請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記第一の無線ネットワークプロトコルは前記第二の無線ネットワークプロトコルと異なる、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記第一の無線ネットワークプロトコルはアドホックネットワークプロトコルを含み、前記第二の無線ネットワークプロトコルはインフラストラクチャモードプロトコルを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
