複数の分割領域を有する基板と、
前記基板上に配置され、一つの前記分割領域内に配置されるLEDのうち少なくとも一部は、互いに電気的に連結される複数のLEDと、
少なくとも二つ以上の前記分割領域内に配置された複数のLEDに、駆動電力を提供するLED駆動部と、を含むことを特徴とするLEDバックライトユニットを提供する。

Claims (5)
- 複数の分割領域を有する基板と、
前記基板上の前記複数の分割領域のそれぞれに配置される複数のLEDと、
前記複数の分割領域のうちの二つ以上の分割領域に配置された複数のLEDに、駆動電力を提供するLED駆動部と、
を含み、
前記二つ以上の分割領域の一の分割領域に配置され、互いに電気的に連結された複数のLEDと、前記二つ以上の分割領域の他の分割領域に配置され、互いに電気的に連結された複数のLEDとは、互いに並列連結され、
前記一の分割領域に配置された同一な色相の光を放出する複数のLEDは、互いに直列連結されており、前記他の分割領域に配置された前記同一な色相の光を放出する複数のLEDは、互いに直列連結され、
前記一の分割領域に配置され、互いに直列連結された前記同一な色相の光を放出する複数のLEDと、前記他の分割領域に配置され、互いに直列連結された前記同一な色相の光を放出する複数のLEDとは、互いに並列連結されているLEDバックライトユニット。 - 前記複数のLEDは、
赤色光を放出する複数の赤色LEDと、緑色光を放出する複数の緑色LEDと、青色光を放出する複数の青色LEDとを含み、
前記複数の分割領域に配置された前記複数の赤色、緑色及び青色LEDは、それぞれ同一な色相の光を放出するLED間に、互いに電気的に連結され、
前記一の分割領域に配置され、互いに電気的に連結された同一な色相の光を放出する複数のLEDと、前記他の分割領域に配置され、互いに電気的に連結された同一な色相の光を放出する複数のLEDとは、互いに並列連結されている請求項1に記載のLEDバックライトユニット。 - 前記LED駆動部は、
前記複数の赤色LEDに駆動電力を提供する赤色LED駆動回路と、前記複数の緑色LEDに駆動電力を提供する緑路LED駆動回路と、前記複数の青色LEDに駆動電力を提供する青色LED駆動回路とを含む請求項2に記載のLEDバックライトユニット。 - 前記複数のLEDにより放出される光量を検出するセンサ部と、
前記センサ部からの検出光量と事前決定された基準光量を比べ、その比較結果によって、前記LED駆動部から前記LEDに提供される電力を制御する制御部と、をさらに含む請求項1から請求項3の何れか1つに記載のLEDバックライトユニット。 - 前記LED駆動部は、電源電力をオン/オフスイッチングすることで、前記LEDに提供される駆動電力の大きさを決定するPWM駆動部を含み、
前記制御部は、前記PWM駆動部のオン/オフスイッチングデューティ比を決定することで、前記駆動部から提供される駆動電力を制御する請求項4に記載のLEDバックライトユニット。
