Description

本発明は、一般に分離弁に関し、そしてより詳細には、インライン設備のための分離弁に関する。
分離弁は周知であり、そして給排水(plumbing)および加熱適用で伝統的に用いられ、維持、置換または修復の目的に、インライン設備または設備の一部に、あるいはそれからの水またはその他の流体の流れを制御する。不幸なことに、しかし、現在の設計は大きくかつかさばり、そして十分な流体流れを可能にしない。これは、多くの理由のために所望されない。インライン設備は、代表的には、限られたスペース中に配置され、それ故、現在の設計の大きなかさばるサイズは、それらを、限られたスペース中に設置することを厄介および困難にする。いくつかの場合には、この限られたスペースは、それらを、設置、除去そして/または修復することを不可能にする。さらに、いくつかのインライン設備、例えば、タンクのない水加熱器は、流体流れ速度および温度計算によって試験される。不利なことに、現在の設計の部分的流体流れ能力は、インライン設備が正確に試験されることを困難にする。
本発明者らによる米国特許出願公開第2002/0195153号明細書は、加熱および配管システムで流体の流れをシャットオフするための玉弁ユニットを記載している。この玉弁ユニットは、玉弁、および先に主要セクションと一体にされたフランジを含む主要セクションを備えている。この文献は、「この玉弁ユニット中のジョイントおよびフランジの数を減らすことであり、それによって配管システムの容量および連結経路の数を減らすこと」を目的としている(段落0008)。この玉(ボール)は、玉の1つの側面から他方にのみ玉を通る流れのための真っ直ぐな貫通孔を備えているが、流体排出ポートとの連通に至るその玉弁の位置は記載されていない。
第1の流体流れポート、第2の流体流れポートおよび流体排出ポート中の弁を備えた流体排出ポートを備えた弁体を有する流体分離弁が提供される。この弁体はまた、流体流れチャネル、排出流れチャネルおよび弁部分を規定し、ここで、この弁部分は、この弁体中に配置され、上記第1の流体流れポート、上記第2の流体流れポートおよび上記流体排出ポートとの流体連絡を容易にする。流れ分岐デバイスがまた提供され、そして上記弁部分内に配置される。この流れ分岐デバイスは、上記第1の流体流れポートが上記第2の流体流れポートと連絡している第1の構成にある。結果として、この流れ分岐デバイスが第2の構成あるとき、上記第1の流れポートは、上記流体排出ポートと連絡している。
図1を参照して、熱水分離弁100が示され、そして第1の熱水ポート102、第2の熱水ポート104、熱水逃がしポート106および熱水排出ポート108を含む。熱水分離弁100は、熱水流れチャネル101および熱水排出チャネル103を規定する。この熱水流れチャネル101は、上記第1の熱水ポート102と上記第2の熱水ポート104との間の流体連絡を提供する。上記熱水排出チャネル103は、上記第1の熱水ポート102と上記熱水排出ポート108との間の流体連絡を提供する。上記熱水分離弁100は、第1の熱水ポート102、第2の熱水ポート104、熱水逃がしポート106と、熱水排出ポート108との間に配置された弁部分110内に配置された、玉弁のような流れ分岐デバイス(示さず)を含む。さらに、この流れ分岐デバイスは、バタフライハンドルのような流れ調節手段112を経由して、第1の構成と第2の構成との間の構成であり得る。
Claims (16)
- 流体分離弁であって:
弁体であって、第1の流体流れポート、第2の流体流れポートおよび流体排出ポートを有し、ここで、該弁体が、流体流れチャネル、排出流れチャネルおよび弁部分を規定し、該弁部分が、該第1の流体流れポート、該第2の流体流れポートおよび該流体排出ポートと連絡するように配置される弁体;
該弁部分内に配置される流れ分岐デバイスであって、第1の位置と第2の位置とを有するように構成可能であり、該流体分岐デバイスが該第1の位置にあるとき、該第1の流体流れポートが該第2の流体流れポートと連絡し、そして該流れ分岐デバイスが該第2の位置にあるとき、該第1の流体流れポートが該流体排出ポートと連絡する流れ分岐デバイス;および
該弁部分とは別個に、かつ該弁部分に隣接して配置される排出弁セクションであって、該流体排出ポートと連通し、そして中に配置された排出ポート弁を有する排出弁セクション、を備える、流体分離弁。 - 前記流体分岐デバイスが:
玉セクションであって、ステムチャンバおよび玉チャンバを規定し、該ステムチャンバが該玉チャンバに隣接して配置され、そして該玉チャンバから外側に延びる玉セクション;
該ステムチャンバ内に配置され、そして該ステムチャンバから外側に延び、そして該玉チャンバ内に配置された玉に連結されるステムであって、該ステムの剥き出た部分が該ステムチャンバを超えて延びるステム;および
該ステムチャンバ内に配置される該ステムの剥き出た部分に連結され、そして該玉に連結されるハンドルであって、ここで、該ハンドルの作動が、玉弁ユニットを作動するために該玉の作動を行うハンドル、を備える、玉弁ユニットである、請求項1に記載の流体分離弁。 - 前記排出ポート弁が、玉弁ユニットである、請求項1に記載の流体分離弁。
- 前記排出ポート弁が、ステムおよびシート弁である、請求項1に記載の流体分離弁。
- フランジが、前記排出弁セクションおよび前記玉セクションの少なくとも1つの連続部分として形成され、該玉セクションが前記ステムチャンバおよび前記玉チャンバを含み、ここで、該フランジ、該排出弁セクション、ならびに該ステムチャンバおよび該玉チャンバを含む該玉セクションが、そして該玉チャンバが剛直性の材料から形成される単一片として形成される、請求項2に記載の流体分離弁。
- 前記排出弁セクションおよび前記玉セクションが、真鍮から作製される、請求項1に記載の流体分離弁。
- 前記排出弁セクションおよび前記玉セクションの少なくとも1つに取り付けられた端部キャップをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の流体分離弁。
