Description
φ(u)=k2×(u―u0)2 (rad) 式(1)
ここで、u0は、光信号の中心波長光が空間位相制御素子8を照射する位置である。また、k2は係数であり、k2を変更することによって、非特許文献1にもあるように入力光信号に与える分散量を変化させることができる。
より具体的には、ΔθA/ΔT=2.86×10−5(rad/℃)である。ここで式(2)において、中心波長を1587.043nm、アレイ導波路長差Lを30.54μm、アレイ導波路間隔dを12μm、群屈折率ngを1.48、石英ガラスの熱光学定数(dn/dT)を1.1×10−5としている。
Claims (10)
- 入力光信号を分光して異なる波長の複数の光信号に分離して、各波長の光信号に対して信号処理をする光信号処理装置において、
前記入力光信号を分光面内において光信号の波長に応じた角度で出射することにより、前記入力光信号を異なる波長を有する複数の光信号に分光する分光手段と、
前記分光手段から出射した前記光信号を変調する信号処理手段であって、前記分光面との交線方向に配置された複数の信号処理要素素子を含み、前記複数の信号処理要素素子の各々は前記光信号への変調量が制御可能である信号処理手段と、
前記分光手段または前記分光手段を含む光学系の温度を検出して、温度検出信号を供給する温度検出手段と、
前記温度検出信号に基づいて、前記複数の信号処理要素素子により形成される光信号変調プロファイルを制御する温度補償制御部と
を備え、前記分光手段または前記分光手段を含む光学系の温度依存性に起因する、前記信号処理手段の前記交線上における光信号の位置または前記交線上への入射角度の温度変動に追従するように、前記光信号変調プロファイルが制御されることを特徴とする光信号処理装置。 - 前記分光手段および前記信号処理手段の間の光路中に、前記分光された光信号を前記信号処理手段の光信号集光面上に集光させる集光手段をさらに備え、前記信号処理要素素子の配列ピッチは、前記集光手段により集光された光信号のビーム径よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光信号処理装置。
- 前記信号処理手段の前記信号処理要素素子は、光信号の強度を変調する空間強度変調素子であり、前記温度補償制御部により、前記温度検出信号に応じて強度変調パターンが設定されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の光信号処理装置。
- 前記信号処理手段の前記信号処理要素素子は、光信号に所定の位相を付与できる空間位相変調素子であり、前記温度補償制御部により、前記温度検出信号に応じて位相パターンが設定されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の光信号処理装置。
- 前記光信号処理装置は、前記信号処理手段として空間位相変調器を利用した分散補償器であることを特徴とする請求項1、2または4いずれかに記載の光信号処理装置。
- 前記光信号変調プロファイルとして、前記交線方向の座標軸に対して2次関数、または2πを除数とし2次関数を被除数とする剰余の位相パターンが与えられ、
前記交線方向に、前記温度検出信号に対応した距離だけ前記位相パターンを移動させるように前記複数の信号処理要素素子を制御することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の光信号処理装置。 - 前記光信号処理装置は、各光信号に、複数の前記信号処理要素素子を割り当て、前記信号処理手段として空間強度変調器を利用した波長ブロッカであることを特徴とする請求項2乃至4いずれかに記載の光信号処理装置。
- 前記光信号処理装置は、前記信号処理手段として空間位相変調器を利用した波長選択フィルタであることを特徴とする請求項1または4に記載の光信号処理装置。
- 前記温度補償制御部は、前記温度検出手段によって検出された前記分光手段または前記分光手段を含む光学系の温度に対応した前記光信号変調プロファイルとなるよう制御するためのデータを記憶する手段を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至8いずれかに記載の光信号処理装置。
- 前記分光手段は、AWGであり、前記信号処理手段は、液晶素子、MEMSまたは光学結晶のいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項1乃至9いずれかに記載の光信号処理装置。
