Description
別の実施形態では、カテーテルには第1端部を通って延びる閉じた通路が設けられ、第1端部は内側から冷却されている。この例にも、やはり上記カテーテルと同じ懸念があり、更には、血液はまったく冷却されないという非常に不都合な事態が発生する。
本発明の別の目的は、使用中は、単純且つ正確なやり方でカテーテルの第1端部が壁に当接したことを調べることができるカテーテルを提供することである。
本発明では、アブレーション術用の既存の装置との適合性を有するカテーテルを提供することを考えている。
冷却流体によって、第1端部付近の血液に乱流の発生することが望ましく、そうすれば、血液内で凝血塊が形成されるのを更に良好に防ぐことができる。
図3には、本発明によるカテーテル1の前端部の第1実施形態を断面図で示している。
このカテーテル1は、電気的及び熱的に伝導性の材料、具体的にはプラチナのような金属で作られた先端部9により形成されている第1端部4を備えた細長い本体7を備えている。本体は、長手方向軸線A−Aを有し、実質的に円筒形の壁12を備えており、その中を通って通路13が伸張している。壁12と通路13との間には環状空間14があり、その中を、導電ワイヤ10、電極8への異なる接続点、及び端部4の制御のためのそれ自体は既知の制御手段(図示せず)が延びている。更に、環状空間14を通って第2の導電性のワイヤ15が延び、熱電対16に接続されている。
Claims (19)
- カテーテルであって、
長手方向軸線を有する細長い本体(7)、
電極(9)であって、該電極を通して形成されている少なくとも1つの通路部(22)を有しており、前記細長い本体(7)の遠位端部に連結され且つ該遠位端部に配置されている、電極(9)、
前記電極(9)に電気的に接続されている、前記細長い本体(7)を通って延びる導電性のワイヤ(10)、および
前記少なくとも1つの通路部(22)の近位部分に、流体が流れることができるように接続されている、前記細長い本体(7)を通って延びる通路(13)、
を備え、
前記少なくとも1つの通路部(22)は、前記電極(9)の側部に連結される少なくとも1つの孔(24)を含み、該少なくとも1つの孔(24)は、断熱性の内部ケーシングを備え、また、少なくとも1つの孔(24)は、前記長手方向軸線に対して鋭角の角度に形成されている、カテーテル。 - 前記少なくとも1つの通路部(22)は、前記電極(9)の側部の外部分(41)に連結されている、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記通路(13)は長手方向軸線を有し、
前記少なくとも一つの孔(24)は、前記通路(13)および前記少なくとも1つの通路部(22)を通って供給される流体を案内する一連の出口開口を含む、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。 - 前記一連の出口開口は、前記通路(13)の前記長手方向軸線に対して約30度から約90度の間の角度をなすように構成されている、請求項3に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記一連の出口開口に断熱性の内側ケーシングが設けられる、請求項3に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記電極(9)は、
低い熱伝導性および低い電気伝導性のうちの一方を有する材料から作られるコア(28)と、
前記コア(28)の少なくとも大部分を取り囲む外側ケーシング(29)であって、コア(28)に比較して比較的高い熱伝導性および比較的高い電気伝導性のうちの一方を有する材料を含む外側ケーシング(29)と、
を有する、請求項1記載のカテーテル。 - 前記コア(28)は、プラスチック材料、セラミック材料、およびガラス材料のうちの少なくとも1つから作られ、
前記外側ケーシング(29)は金属材料から作られる、請求項6に記載のカテーテル。 - 前記電極(9)に熱的に接続された温度センサ(16)をさらに備える、請求項1に記
載のカテーテル。 - 前記温度センサは、前記外側ケーシング(29)の一部に接続された熱電対(16)か
らなる、請求項6に記載のカテーテル。 - 前記少なくとも1つの通路部(22)は、前記細長い本体(7)と前記電極(9)との
間の境界で終端する、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。 - カテーテルであって、
長手方向軸線を有する細長い本体(7)と、
長手方向軸線を有し、前記細長い本体(7)の第1端部に配置された電極(9)であって、該電極(9)の前記長手方向軸線に対して鋭角で、該電極を通って形成されている少なくとも1つの出口開口を有する電極(9)と、
前記細長い本体(7)を通って延び、且つ前記電極(9)に接続されている、少なくとも1つの導電性のワイヤ(10)と、
前記細長い本体(7)を通って延び、流体が流れることができるように前記少なくとも1つの出口開口に接続されている通路(13)であって、流体を前記細長い本体を通して前記少なくとも1つの出口開口内へ送給するように構成されている、通路(13)と、
前記少なくとも1つの出口開口の少なくとも一部を断熱する断熱性のケーシングと、
を備える、カテーテル。 - 前記通路(13)は、長手方向軸線を有し、
前記少なくとも一つの出口開口は、流体を流出方向に、前記細長い本体(7)の外面へ供給するようになっている、請求項11に記載のカテーテル。 - 前記少なくとも一つの出口開口は、複数の出口開口からなる、請求項11に記載のカテーテル。
- さらに、前記電極に、前記細長い本体(7)と前記電極(9)との間に形成された境界から或る距離だけ離して接続されている温度センサを備える、請求項11に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記温度センサは熱電対(16)を含む、請求項8記載のカテーテル。
- 前記電極(9)は、断熱性の内側ケーシングに隣接して配置される凸状の内側部分を有する、キャップ形状部材およびカップ形状部材のうちの一方の形態に形成される、請求項8に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記温度センサは前記凸状の内側部分に接続されている、請求項16に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記電極(9)は、断熱性の内側ケーシングの外側に取り付けられた比較的薄い金属製の部材を含む、請求項1に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記電極(9)に熱的に直接接続されている、前記少なくとも1つの出口開口および前記断熱性のケーシングから間隔をあけられている温度センサ(16)を有する、請求項11に記載のカテーテル。
