Description
本出願は、2003年8月13日出願の米国特許仮出願第60/494,684号の利益を主張する。
(a)モノマーを可塑剤の存在下で重合して、可塑化ポリアミド粒子を生成する工程と、
(b)ポリアミドを1種または複数種の添加剤と溶融ブレンドして、粒子を生成する工程と、
(c)可塑化ポリアミド粒子と、1種または複数種の添加剤と溶融ブレンドしたポリアミド粒子とをキューブ・ブレンドする工程とを含む方法を開示し特許請求する。
使用する添加剤には、強靱化剤、充填剤、および補強剤が含まれ得る。本発明で生成されるポリアミドブレンドを、チューブやパイプなどの物品に形成することができる。
以下に本明細書に記載の発明につき列記する。
1. 可塑化ポリアミドブレンドの生成方法であって、
(a)モノマーを可塑剤の存在下で重合して、可塑化ポリアミド粒子を生成する工程と、
(b)ポリアミドを1種または複数種の添加剤と溶融ブレンド(melt−blend)して、粒子を生成する工程と、
(c)可塑化ポリアミド粒子と、1種または複数種の添加剤と溶融ブレンドしたポリアミド粒子とを、キューブ・ブレンド(cube−blend)する工程と
を含むことを特徴とする方法。
2. 前記添加剤が強靱化剤、補強剤、または充填剤であることを特徴とする前記1.に記載の方法。
3. 前記可塑化ポリアミドが約1.4〜約1.8の固有粘度(inherent viscosity)を有することを特徴とする前記1.に記載の方法。
4. 前記可塑剤がスルホンアミドであることを特徴とする前記1.に記載の方法。
5. 前記1.に記載の可塑化ポリアミドブレンドから作製されることを特徴とする物品。
6. チューブまたはパイプの形態であることを特徴とする前記5.に記載の物品。
成分(A)をバッチ式オートクレーブ重合プロセスで調製した。水に溶かしたヘキサメチレンジアミンおよびドデカン二酸から調製された、pH約7.6、塩濃度45%のポリアミド6,12塩水溶液(2571kg)を、エバポレータに仕込んだ。10重量パーセントの消泡剤(250g)を含む水溶液、ヘキサメチレンジアミン(4000g)、およびN−ブチルベンゼンスルホンアミド(222kg)を、エバポレータ中の溶液に添加し、次いで温度を134℃に上げ、圧力を35psiaに上昇させることによって濃縮した。次いで、濃縮された溶液を、76%リン酸水溶液82gとともにオートクレーブに仕込んだ。この溶液を加熱し、その間に圧力を265psiaに上昇させた。蒸気を排気し、バッチ温度が255℃に到達するまで加熱を続けた。次いで、バッチ温度を235℃に保持しながら圧力を徐々に18.9psiaまで下げる。次いで、バッチ温度を264℃に上げ、その温度および圧力を30分間保持しながら、圧力を3psiaまで下げた。最後に、ポリマーメルトを、ストランドに押し出し、冷却し、ペレットに切断し、窒素中160℃で乾燥した。
Claims (2)
- 可塑化ポリアミドブレンドの生成方法であって、
(a)モノマーを可塑剤の存在下で重合して、可塑化ポリアミド粒子を生成する工程と、
(b)ポリアミドを1種または複数種の添加剤と溶融ブレンド(melt−blend)して、前記1種または複数種の添加剤と溶融ブレンドしたポリアミド粒子を生成する工程と、
(c)前記工程(a)により得られた可塑化ポリアミド粒子と、前記工程(b)により得られた1種または複数種の添加剤と溶融ブレンドしたポリアミド粒子とを、キューブ・ブレンド(cube−blend)する工程とを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1に記載の可塑化ポリアミドブレンドから作製されることを特徴とする物品。
