Claims (29)
- 遠位部(13)と、近位部(36)と、該遠位部から該近位部に延びる主要通路(27)とを有する管状部材(77)であって、該管状部材の該遠位部(13)に遠位端開口部(19)、該遠位端開口部よりも近位側のアクセスポート(15)、前記遠位端開口部(19)及び前記アクセスポート(15)間で延びる、当該管状部材(77)よりも相当に短い長さを有する連結通路(31)を有しており、ワイヤガイド(11)が前記アクセスポート(15)から該連結通路(31)内に挿入されるようになされている管状部材(77)と、
該管状部材(77)の前記主要通路(27)内を遠位方向に延び、その前端部分が、前記アクセスポートポート(15)から前記連結通路(31)内に挿入された前記ワイヤガイド(11)に、前記アクセスポートに隣接した位置で解除可能に係合して、該ワイヤガイドが前記管状部材(77)に対して相対的に動くのを阻止する細長い係合部材(89)と、
を有する細長い医療装置。 - 前記細長い係合部材(89)は、細長いシャフトを備えており、前記細長いシャフトは、前記ワイヤガイド(11)の外表面及び前記管状部材内の主要通路(27)の内壁と摩擦係合する遠位端を有している、請求項1に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記細長いシャフトは、該細長いシャフトを受け入れる前記管状部材(77)の近位側ポート(23)において、前記管状部材に解放可能に固定される近位端を更に備えている、請求項2に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記細長いシャフトは、異なる可撓性を有する複数のシャフト部分を備えている、請求項2に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記複数のシャフト部分は複数の材料から構成されている、請求項4に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記複数のシャフト部分は、それぞれ異なる断面積を有している、請求項4に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記細長いシャフトは、その遠位端に向けて断面が小さくなっていくテーパ部を備えている、請求項2に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記細長いシャフトは、複数の外側に突出するリブ(291、391)を備える断面形状を備えている、請求項2に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記管状部材の主要通路(27)が、前記細長いシャフトの前記断面形状に対応する断面形状を有する、請求項8に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記細長いシャフトは、その遠位端付近に配置された放射線不透過性マーカー(17)を備えている、請求項2に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記細長い係合部材(89)は係留用の糸状材(96)を備えており、前記糸状材は、前記ワイヤガイド(11)の周囲を少なくとも部分的には取り巻いて前記ワイヤガイドを前記管状部材の一部と摩擦係合させるのに十分な横方向の力を加えることができるように作られた遠位側ループを有している、請求項1に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記糸状材(96)は、前記細長い医療装置の前記管状部材内の主要通路を通される、請求項11に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記糸状材(96)は、前記細長い医療装置の前記管状部材に該管状部材の前記近位部において解放可能に係合する近位端部分を更に備えている、請求項12に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記管状部材(77)は、該管状部材の前記遠位部から近位部に延びる第2通路(427)、及び前記主要通路と前記第2通路の間に配置された壁(428)を備えており、更に、前記細長い係合部材の前端部分は、前記内壁と係合して該内壁を前記主要通路の中へと変位させるようになされており、前記細長い係合部材の前端部分は前記内壁を介して前記ワイヤガイドの外表面と係合する、請求項1に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記第2通路(427)は、その一部に沿って断面が小さくなっていく箇所を備えており、前記断面が小さくなっていく箇所は、前記細長い係合部材(89)の前記前端部分と係合するように作られており、前記係合によって前記内壁は前記主要通路(27)の中へと変位する、請求項14に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 前記細長いシャフトの前記遠位端部分は、前記内壁を前記主要通路(27)の中へ係合および変位させるための拡張可能部材(591)を備えている、請求項14に記載の細長い医療装置。
- 患者の体腔内の施術部位に複数の医療装置を導入するためのシステムにおいて、
遠位部(13)と、近位部(36)と、該遠位部から近位部に延びる主要通路(27)とを有する管状部材(77)を有する細長い医療装置(10)であって、該管状部材(77)の該遠位部(13)に遠位端開口部(19)、該遠位端開口部よりも近位側のアクセスポート(15)、遠位端開口部(19)及びアクセスポート(15)間で延びる、当該管状部材(77)よりも相当に短い長さを有する連結通路(31)を有している細長い医療装置(10)と、
遠位端と近位端の間を伸張し、前記管状部材の前記主要通路に滑動可能に通されるワイヤガイド(11)であって、連結位置から連結解除位置まで動かすことができ、前記連結位置にあるときには前記管状部材の前記アクセスポート(15)と前記連結通路(31)と前記遠位端開口(19)を通って伸張し、前記連結解除位置にあるときには前記アクセスポート(15)と前記連結通路(31)と前記遠位端開口(19)を通って伸張していないようにされるワイヤガイド(11)と、
該管状部材(77)の前記主要通路(27)内を遠位方向に延び、その前端部分が、前記アクセスポートポート(15)から前記連結通路(31)内に挿入された前記ワイヤガイド(11)に、前記アクセスポートに隣接した位置で解除可能に係合して、該ワイヤガイドが前記管状部材(77)に対して相対的に動くのを阻止する細長い係合部材(89)と、
を有する患者の体腔内の施術部位に複数の医療装置を導入するためのシステム。 - 前記細長い係合部材(89)は、細長いシャフトを備えており、前記細長いシャフトは、前記ワイヤガイド(11)の外表面及び前記管状部材内の主要通路(27)の内壁と摩擦係合する遠位端を有している、請求項17に記載のシステム。
- 前記細長いシャフトは、該細長いシャフトを受け入れる前記管状部材の近位側ポートにおいて、前記管状部材に解放可能に固定される近位端を更に備えている、請求項18に記載のシステム。
- 前記細長いシャフトは、異なる可撓性を有する複数のシャフト部分を備えている、請求項18に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数のシャフト部分は複数の材料から構成されている、請求項20に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数のシャフト部分はそれぞれ異なる断面形状を有している、請求項20に記載のシステム。
