Description
Claims (9)
- ターボファンエンジンであって、
ファンセクションと、
前記ファンセクションを駆動する遊星ギアシステムと、
前記ファンセクションの回転を可能にする第1の位置と前記ファンセクションの回転を阻止する第2の位置とを有するブレーキと、
スイッチと、
を備え、
前記スイッチは、遊星ギアシステムに対応する複数のジャーナル軸受に対して第1の量のオイルを選択的に供給するか、あるいは前記遊星ギアシステムに対応する前記複数のジャーナル軸受に対して第2の量のオイルを選択的に供給するように構成され、
前記第1の量のオイルは、前記第2の量のオイルより少なく、
前記スイッチは、第1の位置と第2の位置との間でブレーキを移動させるように構成されることを特徴とするターボファンエンジン。 - 前記エンジンが停止され、かつ地上レベルの高度にあるとき、前記ブレーキが、前記ファンセクションの回転を阻止することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のターボファンエンジン。
- 前記ブレーキは、スプリングブレーキであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のターボファンエンジン。
- 前記スプリングブレーキは、前記ブレーキと関連するソレノイドに電力が印加されたとき、前記第1の位置にあることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のターボファンエンジン。
- 高度を検知すると共に前記エンジンが作動しているかどうかを検知するエンジン制御システムを備え、前記エンジン制御システムが、前記ソレノイドに電力を選択的に供給することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のターボファンエンジン。
- 前記スプリングブレーキは、複数のブレーキアームおよびスプリングを備え、前記スプリングの開放により前記複数のブレーキアームの少なくとも1つが前記ファンセクションのロータを締結する位置に移動することで、前記ブレーキが前記第2の位置に移動することを特徴とする請求項5に記載のターボファンエンジン。
- 前記ソレノイドへの電力の印加を停止することによって、前記スプリングが開放されることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のターボファンエンジン。
- 前記ブレーキが、ダイナミックブレーキをもたらすために短絡される発電機を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のターボファンエンジン。
- 高度を検知すると共に前記エンジンが作動しているかどうかを検知するエンジン制御システムを備え、前記エンジン制御システムが、前記発電機を選択的に短絡させることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のターボファンエンジン。
