Description
着信の可能性がある送信について移動局に通知する基地局からの着信ページング・メッセージが移動局によってモニターされ、このページング・メッセージがある一定間隔で着信し、この着信間隔によって不連続受信期間(DRX期間)が規定され、
移動局がある一定のチャネルでセル再選択測定を行う方法であって、
セル再選択測定の回数がDRX期間の長さに比例し、それによって短いDRX期間中より長いDRX期間中に多数のセル再選択測定が実行されることを特徴とする方法である。
少なくとも1つの基地局と交信する通信手段と、
移動局の通信を制御する制御手段と、
移動局がアイドル・モードにあるとき、着信する可能性のある転送について移動局に通知する基地局からのページング・メッセージを受信するための通信手段の一部としての受信手段であって、そのページング・メッセージが、制御手段に既知のある一定間隔で着信するように構成され、その間隔が不連続受信期間(DRX期間)を規定するようになっている受信手段と、
移動局がアイドル・モードにあるとき、制御手段の制御の下である一定のチャネルでセル再選択測定を行うための測定手段とを有する移動局であって、
制御手段が、DRX期間の長さに比例してセル再選択測定回数を制御するようになっていて、それによって制御手段がより多くのセル再選択測定を制御して、短いDRX期間中より長いDRX期間中に測定を実行するようになっていることを特徴とする移動局である。

Claims (7)
- 1つの基地局(BS)が1つのセルを規定する複数の基地局と、少なくとも1つの基地局と交信する移動局(MS)とを有する移動通信システムの前記移動局でセル・アイドル・モードの再選択測定の制御を行う方法において、前記移動局がアイドル・モードにあるとき、
着信の可能性がある送信について前記移動局に通知する基地局(BS)からの着信ページング・メッセージ(PB)が前記移動局(MS)によってモニターされ、該ページング・メッセージ(PB)が変更可能な間隔で着信し、該着信間隔によってDRX期間、即ち不連続受信期間、が規定され、
前記移動局(MS)がある一定のチャネルでセルの再選択測定を行う方法であって、
セルの再選択測定回数が前記DRX期間の長さに依存し、それによって短いDRX期間中より長いDRX期間中に多数のセル再選択測定が実行されることを特徴とするセル・アイドル・モードの再選択測定の制御を行う方法。 - 前記セル再選択測定回数が前記DRX期間の長さに関して固定的に予め定められていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記セル再選択測定回数が前記移動局内に保存されたルックアップ・テーブルで決定されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記移動局(MS)が前記基地局(BS)からのページング・メッセージ(PB)を受信しているのと同じ時に前記セル再選択測定が実行されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記セル再選択測定が前記DRX期間中に実行されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 一般パケット無線サービス(GPRS)で動作する移動局(MS)で実行されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- セルが基地局によって規定される、基地局を有する移動通信システム用移動局(MS)であって、
少なくとも1つの基地局(BS)と交信する通信手段(RF、TX、RX)と、
前記移動局の通信を制御する制御手段(MCU)と、
前記移動局(MS)がアイドル・モードにあるとき、着信の可能性がある送信について前記移動局に通知する前記基地局(BS)からページング・メッセージ(PB)を受信する前記通信手段の一部としての受信手段(RX)であって、前記ページング・メッセージ(PB)が前記制御手段(MCU)に既知の変更可能な間隔で着信するように設けられ、前記間隔がDRX期間、即ち不連続受信期間、を規定するようになっている前記受信手段と、
前記移動局(MS)がアイドル・モードにあるとき、ある一定チャネルでの前記制御手段(MCU)の制御の下でセル再選択測定を実行する測定手段(RX)とを有する移動局において、
前記制御手段(MCU)が、前記DRX期間の長さに依存するようにセル再選択測定回数を制御するようになっていて、それによって短いDRX期間中より長いDRX期間中に多数のセル再選択測定が実行されるようになっていることを特徴とする移動局。
