Description
keratomycosis,LASIK)として公知の、レーザーを用いた外科的手法を開示している。この技術においては、生体角膜の正面部分を、約160μmという厚さを有したフラップ形状で切除することができる。この切除部分は、生体角膜から取り除かれ、これにより、角膜の内表面が露出される。それから、レーザー光線を、露出した内表面に向けて照射し、最大で150μm〜180μmという深さまで、内表面の所望量を切除する。それから、切除部分は、角膜の切除部分の上に再び付着させられ、切除部分の形状に合致する形状となる。加えて、LASIK手法においては、フェムト秒レーザーを使用することによって、フラップをカットして分離することができる。

Claims (9)
- 眼(10)の角膜(14)の屈折特性を調節するためのシステムであって、
中央に開口が形成されたリング状の第1部材(22)と、
この第1部材(22)とは別部材の第2部材であって、前記第1部材(22)の直径よりも小さな直径を有している第2部材(26)とを具備しており、
前記第1部材(22)は、眼(10)の主要光学軸が前記開口を通過するように角膜(14)内の第1深さのところに埋設され、且つ前記第2部材(26)は、眼(10)を通過する前記光学軸が第2部材を通過するように、角膜(14)内の第1部材(22)よりも角膜の表面寄りの第2深さのところに埋設されることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項1記載のシステムにおいて、
前記第1部材(22)が第1屈折力を有した第1部分を有していることと、前記第2部材(26)が第2屈折力を有した第2部分を有していることと、の少なくとも一方を備えることを特徴とするシステム。 - 眼の角膜の屈折特性を調節するためのシステムであって、
中央に開口が形成されたリング状の第1部材であって、眼の光学軸と交差することなく角膜内の第1深さのところに埋設される第1部材と、
前記第1部材とは別部材の第2部材であって、前記第1部材の直径よりも小さな直径を有しており、角膜内の第2深さのところに埋設される第2部材と、
を具備し、
前記第2部材が埋設される前記第2深さは、前記第2部材の前面が前記第1深さに埋設された前記第1部材の前面と比較して角膜の前面に近くなる深さであって、且つ前記第2部材が前記第1部材に接触しない深さであり、
前記第2部材が、前記第2深さで眼の前記光学軸を取り囲むように埋設されており、
且つ眼の前記光学軸が前記第2部材を通過するように構成されていることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項3記載のシステムにおいて、
前記第1部材が、前記第1部材が角膜内の前記第1深さのところに埋設されたときには眼の前記光学軸が前記開口を通過するように、構成されていることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項3又は4に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記第1部材および前記第2部材の少なくとも一方が、複数の貫通孔を有していることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項5記載のシステムにおいて、
前記複数の貫通孔の少なくとも1つが、0.1μm〜500μmという範囲の横断面寸法を有していることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項3乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記第1部材および前記第2部材の少なくとも一方が、コラーゲンとアクリル酸と蒸発成形可能なポリマーとメタクリレートとメタクリレートゲルとポリビニルプロリジンとシリコーンとの中の少なくとも1つのものを有していることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項3乃至7のいずれか一項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記第1部材および前記第2部材の少なくとも一方が、エネルギー源によって蒸発成形可能なものとされていることを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項3乃至8のいずれか一項に記載のシステムにおいて、
前記第1部材が第1屈折力を有した第1部分を有していることと、前記第2部材が第2屈折力を有した第2部分を有していることと、の少なくとも一方を備えることを特徴とするシステム。
