Description
(1)ガス発生剤と、該ガス発生剤を充填する有底円筒状のカップ体と、スクイブと一体となり該スクイブを該カップ体内に封じ固定するホルダとを備えるシートベルトプリテンショナー用ガス発生器であって、該ホルダと該カップ体が嵌合して固定され前記ガス発生器の外装を形成し、該カップ体内面の少なくとも内側底面に自動発火剤層を有し、該自動発火剤層が自動発火剤含有溶液をカップ体内面に付着させた後乾燥することにより形成される層であり、該ガス発生器はフィルター材、伝火薬又はクーラントを用いないガス発生器、
(2)自動発火剤剤の重量が少なくとも3mgである(1)に記載のガス発生器、
(3)ガス発生剤の燃焼室内面に自動発火剤層を有し、自動発火剤層の重量が少なくとも4mgである(1)又は(2)に記載のガス発生器、
(4)自動発火剤層がガス発生剤に接している(1)乃至(3)のいずれか1項に記載のガス発生器、
(5)自動発火剤の発火温度が150℃以上でガス発生剤の発火温度未満である(1)乃至(4)のいずれか1項に記載のガス発生器、
(6)自動発火剤の発火温度が150〜250℃である(1)乃至(4)のいずれか1項に記載のガス発生器、
(7)自動発火剤層の重量が3mg〜10mg未満である(1)乃至(6)のいずれか1項に記載のガス発生器、
(8)ガス発生剤を50mg〜2000mgの範囲内で用いる(1)乃至(7)のいずれか1項に記載のガス発生器、
に関する。
このガス発生器の自動発火性を調べるため、第2図に示したような装置を用いてボンファイア試験を行った。作成したガス発生器6を3.5ccボンブ7(ガス発生器を組み込むためのボンファイア試験用治具)に組み込みプロパンガスバーナー9の火口(直径60mm)から400mmの位置に固定し、バーナー9で加熱した。この時のバーナー9の火炎高さは600mmに調整した。3.5ccボンブ7のガス抜け穴径は、直径1.0mmを使用し、自動発火剤はニトロセルロースを使用し、5mg〜46mgの自動発火剤層を有するカップ体を備えたガス発生器を使用した。ガス発生剤は燃料成分として5−アミノテトラゾール:7.2重量部および硝酸グアニジン:29.2重量部、酸化剤成分として硝酸ストロンチウム:29.8重量部及び過塩素酸アンモニウム:29.8重量部、バインダー:4.0重量部のガス発生剤組成物を使用し、ガス発生剤量は1800mgのサンプルを用いた。測定は、火炎を当て始めてから発音が確認された時の時間を測定した。
自動発火剤(ニトロセルロース)8mg(サンプルA;n=2)、20mg(サンプルB;n=2)をそれぞれカップ体内側底面に塗布し、次いでこのカップ体を用いて本発明の小型ガス発生器(シートベルトプリテンショナー用)を製造した。そしてこのガス発生器を、107℃、400時間の条件下に曝す、経時安定性加速試験に供した。この試験前のガス発生器と試験後のガス発生器について、通電による作動性(ガス発生挙動)を調べた。その結果を第3図、第4図、表2、表3に示す。
Claims (8)
- ガス発生剤と、該ガス発生剤を充填する有底円筒状のカップ体と、スクイブと一体となり該スクイブを該カップ体内に封じ固定するホルダとを備えるシートベルトプリテンショナー用ガス発生器であって、該ホルダと該カップ体が嵌合して固定され前記ガス発生器の外装を形成し、該カップ体内面の少なくとも内側底面に自動発火剤層を有し、該自動発火剤層が自動発火剤含有溶液をカップ体内面に付着させた後乾燥することにより形成される層であり、該ガス発生器はフィルター材、伝火薬又はクーラントを用いないガス発生器。
- 自動発火剤層の重量が少なくとも3mgである請求の範囲第1項に記載のガス発生器。
- ガス発生剤の燃焼室内面に自動発火剤層を有し、自動発火剤層の重量が少なくとも4mgである請求の範囲第1項又は第2項に記載のガス発生器。
- 自動発火剤層がガス発生剤に接している請求の範囲第1項乃至第3項のいずれか1項に記載のガス発生器。
- 自動発火剤の発火温度が150℃以上でガス発生剤の発火温度未満である請求の範囲第1項乃至第4項のいずれか1項に記載のガス発生器。
- 自動発火剤の発火温度が150〜250℃である請求の範囲第1項乃至第4項のいずれか1項に記載のガス発生器。
- 自動発火剤層の重量が3mg〜10mg未満である請求の範囲第1項乃至第6項のいずれか1項に記載のガス発生器。
- ガス発生剤を50mg〜2000mgの範囲内で用いる請求の範囲第1項乃至第7項のいずれか1項に記載のガス発生器。
