Description
この発明は、概して、電力線を介する通信に関し、より特定的には、航空機および宇宙飛行体における航空電子工学システムおよび制御システムのために同じワイヤ上で同時に直流電力およびデジタル通信の両方を提供することに関する。
ットワーク114は、「1553通信」またはイーサネット(登録商標)プロトコルを用いてもよく、または、図1に図示のとおり、信号110がモデム106cによっても受信され得るようにバス116を介しモデム106bに信号110を経路付けるための他のプロトコルを用いてもよい。モデム106bは信号110を復調してデータ108を回復し得る。
かなる航空機または宇宙飛行体にとっても設計上の制約となる。航空電子工学機器で用いられるワイヤの数を減らすことにより、航空機の重量が減じられ、乗物の性能および機能が高められる。しかしながら、電力線へのデータ信号の変圧器結合、たとえば図2に示されるモデム208へのデータ信号214の結合は、典型的には航空機に見られかつ図1に図示の航空電子工学システム100などの航空電子工学システムに電力を供給するのに用いられる28VDC電力システムなどの直流電力システムで用いるには不適切である。たとえば、変圧器216を用いる変圧器結合は不適切である。というのも、図2に図示のとおり「ホット」側202aから電力線202にわたって「中性」または接地側202bへ配線される変圧器216の一次巻線は、直流が用いられている場合、局所電源204を短絡することとなるからである。
この発明の一局面では、電力線モデムは、RF信号をデジタルデータおよびフィルタで変調するモデムを含む。フィルタはモデムに接続され、RF信号をモデムからDC電力線に結合する。
以下の詳細な説明は、現在最良に企図されているこの発明を実行するモードである。この説明は限定する意味で理解されるべきではないが、この発明の全体的な原理を単に例示する目的でなされている。というのも、この発明の範囲は、添付の特許請求の範囲によって最もよく規定されるからである。
の航空機または宇宙飛行体の制御システムに比べて、乗物の制御システムの重量を減らし得る。
モデム306によって復調されて上述のようにデータ308を供給し得る。以上にも記載したように、局所電源322は電力324をモデム306に供給し得、さらに電力出力328から、ホスト航空電子工学ユニット、たとえば図3に示される航空電子工学ユニット302のうちいずれか、の電子機器に電力326を供給し得る。データおよび電力は電力線312によって電力線モデム350に供給され得る。電力線312は「ホット」側312aとDC帰線312bとを含み得る。たとえば、電力線312は、ホット側312aとDC帰線312bとの間で28VDCの電圧を維持する航空機または宇宙飛行体の主電源に接続されてもよい。
行技術の変圧器は通常高いインピーダンスで実現されており、先行技術のモデム電力増幅器が高出力インピーダンスで作動することが可能となる。
電力線312から取除くのに適切なものである。
Claims (6)
- 電力線モデムインターフェイス(350)であって、
RF信号(310)をデジタルデータ(308)で変調するモデム(306)と、
前記モデム(306)に接続され、前記RF信号(310)を前記モデム(306)からDC電力線(312)に結合するフィルタ(311)と、
局所電源(322)と、
前記モデム(306)において接続されるマイクロコントローラ(362)とを含み、
該マイクロコントローラ(362)は、前記デジタルデータ(308)で変調される前記RF信号(310)のために少なくとも2つのチャネル周波数のうち1つを選択し、さらに、
少なくとも2つの増幅器およびバンドパスフィルタ(372)を含み、前記少なくとも2つの増幅器およびバンドパスフィルタ(372)は、前記少なくとも2つのチャネル周波数で前記RF信号(310)を受信するよう動作し、
前記フィルタ(311)は、
DC電力線(312)のホット側(312a)に接続される第1のインダクタンス(330)と、
前記第1のインダクタンス(330)と直列に接続され、前記局所電源(322)に接続される第2のインダクタンス(332)と、
前記第1のインダクタンス(330)と前記第2のインダクタンス(332)との間に接続され、前記RF信号(310)が前記モデム(306)からDC電力線(312)に渡されるように前記モデム(306)に接続されるキャパシタンス(334)とを含む、
電力線モデムインターフェイス(350)。 - DC電力線(312)に接続され、前記フィルタ(311)に接続される局所電源(322)をさらに含み、
前記フィルタ(311)は前記RF信号(310)を前記モデム(306)に渡し、
前記フィルタ(311)は、前記RF信号(310)をフィルタにかけて、DC電力線(312)によって局所電源(322)に供給されるDC電力(321)から取除く、請求項1に記載の電力線モデムインターフェイス(350)。 - 前記フィルタ(311)に接続され、DC電力線(312)とのインピーダンス整合のために低出力インピーダンスで作動する電力増幅器(368)をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の電力線モデムインターフェイス(350)。
- 前記モデム(306)は、前記RF信号(310)を復調して前記デジタルデータ(308)を回復し、前記フィルタ(311)に接続されかつ前記RF信号 (310)をDC電力線(312)に結合する増幅器およびバンドパスフィルタ(370)をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の電力線モデムインターフェイス(350)。
- 前記局所電源(322)は前記モデム(306)に接続し、電力(324)を前記モデム(306)に供給する、請求項1に記載の電力線モデムインターフェイス(350)。
- 前記モデム(306)において接続され、航空電子工学ユニット(302)のホスト電子機器(304)とインターフェイスするマイクロコントローラ(362)をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の電力線モデムインターフェイス(350)。
