Description
実施例
以下の実施例において、現在最もよく知られている本発明の実施形態を説明する。ここで、以下は、本発明の原理の応用についての単なる例示又は説明に過ぎないことを理解されたい。当業者であれば、本発明の趣旨及び範囲から逸脱することなく、多数の修正及び代替組成物、方法、並びにシステムを案出できよう。添付の特許請求の範囲は、前述の修正並びに変更を網羅すべく意図されている。従って、特定のものに関して本発明をこれまで説明してきたが、以下の実施例は、本発明の最も実用的且つ好ましい実施形態であると現在思われるものに関しさらに詳述するものである。
本発明のマゼンタ染料ブレンドと共に良く機能し得る2つのインクジェットインクビヒクルを調合した。これらのインクビヒクルは、本発明の実施形態に従ってインクジェットインクを形成するのに用いることができる。しかしながら、これらのインクビヒクルは、使用し得る唯一のインクビヒクルではない。下の表1a及び表1bは、インクビヒクルの2つの許容例を示す。
上の表1bに提示したインクビヒクルと混合されたM7を除き、上の表1aに提示したインクビヒクルを用いて8つのマゼンタインクジェットインク(M1〜M8)を調製した。ヒューレット−パッカード社の販売するHP970Cプリンタに用いられるマゼンタインクには、表2において用いるニッケル含有アゾ染料はどれも含まれていない。詳細には、M2、M3、M5、M6、及びM7は、本発明の実施形態に従い、ローダミン染料と混合されたニッケル含有アゾ染料を含むインクを表す。ニッケル含有アゾ染料のみを含むM1とM4、及びアゾ染料と混合されたH酸染料(ローダミン染料の代わり)を含むM8を含むその他のインクは、比較目的で調製したものである。用いたH酸染料は、CP1160HPカラーインクジェットプリンタに使用されるものと同じ染料である。調製したインクジェットインクを下表2に示す。
調製した8つのインクジェットインクを互いに、並びにヒューレット−パッカード社製のHP970Cプリンタに付されて販売されている最新のマゼンタインクと比較した。さらに、比較の目的で、耐光性のベンチマークとしてKodak Edge 8 Agxを使用した。使用した膨潤性媒体は、HP Premium Plus Photo紙であった。使用した多孔質媒体は、HP Photo紙であった。当該比較の実施後得られたデータを下表3に示す。
Claims (10)
- 有効量のインクビヒクルと混ぜ合わされた、請求項1に記載のマゼンタ染料ブレンド。
- 前記ニッケル発色団含有アゾ染料が、ニッケル金属化ナフトールアゾトリアゾールを含む、請求項1又は2に記載のマゼンタ染料ブレンド。
- 前記ローダミン染料が、Acid Red 52、Acid Red 289、Acid Red 388、及びそれらの混合物から成る群から選択される成分を含む、請求項1又は2に記載のマゼンタ染料ブレンド。
- 前記ニッケル発色団含有アゾ染料が、単一のニッケル発色団を含有するアゾ染料である、請求項1又は2に記載のマゼンタ染料ブレンド。
- 前記ニッケル発色団含有アゾ染料が、一緒に混合された少なくとも2つのニッケル発色団を含有するアゾ染料である、請求項1又は2に記載のマゼンタ染料ブレンド。
- 前記ローダミン染料が、単一のローダミン染料である、請求項1又は2に記載のマゼンタ染料ブレンド。
- 前記ローダミン染料が、一緒に混合された少なくとも2つのローダミン染料である、請求項1又は2に記載のマゼンタ染料ブレンド。
- 前記インクビヒクルが、5.0wt%〜50.0wt%の溶媒、0.01wt%〜10.0wt%の界面活性剤、及び水を含んで成る、請求項2に記載のマゼンタ染料ブレンド。
