Description
これらの吸着法の中でキレート吸着法は、ホウ素、ゲルマニウムが、糖類やアルコール類などの複数の水酸基含有化合物(ポリヒドロキシ化合物:polyhydroxy)と錯体を形成するという性質を利用したものである。
しかし2つの水酸基(−OH)を持つキトサン、例えばジヒドロキシプロピルキトサン(dihydroxypropylchitosan)はより強い水素結合を持つ。水酸基が不活性であるため、水に対して難溶性である。水の添加によって均一に混練できない。放射線を照射しても分解するだけで、架橋は起こらない。それ以上の水酸基を持つものでも事情は同様である。吸着性を期待できる2つ以上の水酸基(−OH)を持つキチン、キトサン誘導体は、特許文献2の手法では放射線架橋することができない。
図9は電子線照射線量(kGy)と、それによって得られたジヒドロキシプロピルキトサン架橋体のゲル分率(%)を示すグラフである。ゲル化したということは架橋したということであり、照射線量と共にゲル化比率が上がっている。ゲル化した架橋体は、飽和の後に照射線量が増えるとゲル化率が却って下がる。それは架橋がもはや進まず、分解反応が起こるからである。
市販されている1000ppmホウ素標準液を、100ppmホウ素水溶液に希釈した。塩酸と水酸化ナトリウムとで、pHを2〜11の様々の値に調整した。吸着剤の作用のpH依存性を調べるためである。
撹拌後の水溶液の上澄み液から、ゲルマニウム量をICP発光分析装置によって測定した。水溶液中のゲルマニウムの初期濃度から処理後のゲルマニウム残留濃度を差し引いて、単位重量あたりの吸着量を計算した。その結果を表3に示す。
Claims (5)
- ジヒドロキシプロピルキトサン或いはジヒドロキシプロピルキチンを原料とし、これに乳酸の水溶液 を加え撹拌し高濃度のペースト状にし、電離性放射線を照射し架橋反応を起こさせることを特徴とするホウ素・ゲルマニウム吸着剤の製造方法。
- ヒドロキシプロピルキトサン或いはジヒドロキシプロピルキチンに、乳酸 の水溶液を加え撹拌し高濃度のペーストにし、電離性放射線を照射し架橋反応を起こさせて製造したことを特徴とするホウ素・ゲルマニウム吸着剤。
- 架橋に用いる電離性放射線が、γ線、電子線またはX線であり、その線量は0.1kGy〜1000kGyである請求項1に記載のホウ素・ゲルマニウム吸着剤の製造方法。
- 吸着するべきホウ素、ゲルマニウムが水中或いは有機溶剤に溶解されているものであることを特徴とする請求項2 に記載のホウ素・ゲルマニウム吸着剤。
- ホウ素、ゲルマニウムはジヒドロキシプロピルキトサン或いはジヒドロキシプロピルキチン又はその混合物の架橋体をシート状、フィルム状、粒子状に造形したものに接触させることにより、除去されることを特徴とする請求項2、請求項4の何れかに記載のホウ素・ゲルマニウム吸着剤。
