Description
本発明は、データ・ネットワークを介してユーザに番組を配信する番組配信者を含んでいる。番組配信者は、ソース(情報源)から受信した警報メッセージを処理して通常の放送番組の一部としてユーザに配信できるフォーマットにする。このように受信されるメッセージにはオプションで補足情報が付けられる。
Claims (9)
- 番組配信ネットワークで警報情報を放送番組の中に挿入する方法であって、
特定地域メッセージ符号化(SAME)フォーマットと呼ばれる専用のフォーマットで警報メッセージを受信するステップと、
前記警報メッセージを前記専用フォーマットから、前記放送番組を送信するために使用される放送信号と互換性のある第2のフォーマットに変換するステップと、
前記番組配信装置から前記放送番組を受信するユーザに対応する地理的区域と前記警報メッセージ中の地理的データが一致するときには前記警報メッセージを送信せずに、該変換された警報メッセージを、該地理的区域と該地理的データが一致するときに前記放送番組の中に挿入することで、該変換された警報メッセージを送信するステップであって、該変換された警報メッセージがMPEGトランスポートパケット中にフォーマットされており、該トランスポートパケットのヘッダ内のパケット識別子(PID)が、該トランスポートパケットの内容をオーディオ情報及びビデオ情報のうち少なくとも一つに代えた警報メッセージであるとして識別するステップと
を有する方法。 - 受信した警報メッセージが、番組配信ネットワークで放送できるデータに変換される可聴メッセージであってオーディオ装置で提供される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 補足情報が警報メッセージに追加され、選択される補足情報は警報情報内のデータに基づいている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 選択される補足情報が警報情報および警報情報の種類に対応する地理的区域により決定される、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 番組がMPEGと互換性のあるデータ・ストリームで放送される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 受信した警報メッセージを、データ・ストリームの一部として放送できるフォーマットに変換する方法であって、
MPEG‐2と互換性のあるデータ・ストリームにおける放送番組であって警報メッセージが挿入されている放送番組を受信するステップであって、該受信された警報メッセージが特定地域メッセージ符号化(SAME)フォーマットと呼ばれる専用のフォーマットとされているステップと、
前記番組配信装置から前記放送番組を受信するユーザに対応する地理的区域と前記警報メッセージ中の地理的データが一致するときには前記警報メッセージを送信せずに、該警報メッセージを、該地理的区域と該地理的データが一致するときに、前記MPEG‐2と互換性のあるデータ・ストリームの送信に使用するパケットの中に挿入されるデータに変換するステップであって、該変換された警報メッセージがMPEG‐2トランスポートパケット中にフォーマットされており、該トランスポートパケットのヘッダ内のパケット識別子(PID)が、該トランスポートパケットの内容をオーディオ情報及びビデオ情報のうち少なくとも一つに代えた警報メッセージであるとして識別するステップと
を有する方法。 - 受信した警報メッセージが、番組配信ネットワークで放送できるデータに変換される可聴メッセージであってオーディオ装置で提供される、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 補足情報が警報メッセージに追加され、選択される補足情報は警報情報内のデータに基づいている、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 選択される補足情報が警報情報および警報情報の種類に対応する地理的区域により決定される、請求項8に記載の方法。
