Description
Claims (11)
- 規定された長さの互いに同軸的に配置されたコアロッドと中空円筒体とのアッセンブリを引き延ばすことにより、石英ガラスから光学的な構成部品を製造するための方法であって、前記アッセンブリを鉛直方向の向きで加熱区域に供給し、該加熱区域で前記アッセンブリの下端部を起点として区域ごとに軟化させ、軟化された領域から前記光学的な構成部品を下方へ向かって引き出し、この場合、中空円筒体は内孔を有していて、該内孔の下端部の領域には狭隘部を施与し、該狭隘部上にコアロッドを載置する形式の方法において、
内孔(5)を最終寸法となるように機械的に加工し、中空円筒体の下方の端面側の端部を軟化させ、工具(2,17,22)に押し付け、この際、環状の突起リング(6,16)を形成しながら内方に折り返すことで内孔(5)の狭隘部を形成することを特徴とする、石英ガラスから光学的な構成部品を製造するための方法。 - 工具(2,17)が、内孔(15)内に突入する型部分(4,18)を有しており、折り返された石英ガラスが前記型部分(4,18)に、環状の突起リング(6,16)を形成しながら当接する、請求項1記載の方法。
- 中空円筒体(1)と工具(2,17,22)とを1つの炉(9)において、石英ガラスが軟化する温度にまで加熱する、請求項1又は2記載の方法。
- 前記型部分(18)が、中空円筒体(11)の内孔(15)内に突入する円錐面を有している工具(17)を使用する、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記型部分(4)が中空円筒体(1)の内孔(5)内に突入するピンとして形成されていて、該ピンの外径が、成形すべき突起リング(6)の内径に相当するような工具(2)を使用する、請求項1から4までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記工具(2)がリング溝(3)を有していて、該リング溝の外径が中空円筒体(1)の外径に相当し、内径が突起リング(6)の内径に相当する、請求項5記載の方法。
- 工具(2,17)がグラファイトまたは炭素繊維強化炭素から成っている、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 工具(2,17)と、中空円筒体(1,11)の軟化された端面側の端部とを中空円筒体長手方向軸線(10)を中心として互いに相対的に回転させる、請求項1から7までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 中空円筒体(1)の軟化された端面側の端部に工具(2)によって外側円錐体(7)を成形する、請求項1から8までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 石英ガラス管(22)の形の工具を使用し、石英ガラス管を、中空円筒体(21)の端面側の端部に、突き合わせ部として溶着する、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 光学的なファイバのための中実ロッドまたはプリフォームまたは光学的なファイバを製造する、請求項1から10までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
